    Questions about my Veiled Cham!

I got my chameleon about a week ago, and mine does the same thing. She turns dark green with light green polka dots, I've assumed it's because she's warming up. She has no signs of stress in her cage, most likely the same situation as yours. :p

    Panther Cham Lip Concern

I'd take her to the vet to be safe. If it is anything or can develop into anything it'd be better to catch it early.

    Humidity and crickets

Okay, thank you so much! Usually the humidity ranges from 40%-50% for my chameleon. It's hard to keep humidity with a ReptiBreeze cage, I mist her usually 2 times a day and I have a Little Dripper going for her. I'll usually feed her a superworm 2-3 times a week because she seems to love those...

    Humidity and crickets

I was wondering if I could get an accurate level of humidity and temperature for a 5-6 month old veiled chameleon, also I feed her 10-12 medium crickets daily, because she's a big eater. Is that too much? If so, how many should I reduce her to?

    How Much is Too Much

Try hornworms and silkworms. Hornworms are high in protein but also high in fat, offer 1-2 times a week, and silkworms are high in calcium and lower in fat some people use these as staple feeders. Maybe you can use feeding tongs to give him crickets when he's out of the cage?

Is this UVB safe for my panther?

6-8 inches is what I've heard to be safe. If he gets too hot then he'll open his mouth, he should be fine :)

    How Much is Too Much

I wouldn't feed him superworms everyday, I give my chameleon superworms 2-3 times a week because they are fatty and can be addicting. https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/sandrachameleon/74-feeders.html this is a good forum that shows different varieties and how much percent of your cham's diet...

Is this UVB safe for my panther?

I just talked to a guy that breeds reptiles earlier today and he said that he uses coil bulbs and his chameleons and lizards are perfectly fine. He said most people prefer to use linear bulbs, but they have improved them. For now I suspect the coiled one would be fine, but I'd switch over to the...

Is this UVB safe for my panther?

https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/are-coil-uvb-bulbs-really-that-bad.102254/ Here is a forum about coil UVB bulbs and experiences. I use tubes since I've heard that coiled bulbs can cause eye problems.

    Supplementing chams diet

You can try silkworms, reptiworms, and superworms. I've heard mealworms aren't good for chameleons, but try alternating with worms because chameleons from what I've heard can get addicted and will refuse to eat anything else. If you gut load the crickets with nutrients, vitamins, and calcium as...
