    All the Small Things...

I am amazed at the advancements we have made in keeping and breeding aquarium fish. I know that flame angels are being bred with great success but it is a long and tricky process. I see c/b seahorses readily available at a couple of local petshops. I raised seahorses a few years ago too. I...

    All the Small Things...

Yes, I bought two and they turned out to be a male and female. They breed like crazy, and since the males raised the babies in his mouth it is easier on my part.

brev's male or female - help!!

Hi Laurie, With brevs you can't always go by tail length. I have had females with tails just as long as some of my males. One thing to watch out for is coloring up in males. They are still young, but if i had to guess, I would say that the first one is a male, middle one looks like it...

Annie's Vet visit today Sad news

Sorry to hear that Laurie. I put myself in the same position. You can't give up on keeping chams, think of how many people there are out there who could care less about a chameleon or even a reptile in general. We can't lose one of the few dedicated people who are willing to go the extra...

    New deremensis arrived!

These guys look great! I'm glad to see some success with this species. Good job Fabian! I had a pair of them a few years ago, but unfortunately when I downsized my collection they were one of the pairs that i sold. I had too many chams at the time. I remember the vibrating that they would...

If you post your location it would be easier to help you. Try posting in this forum: www.dendroboard.com -where most members readily have fruitflies. May be you can find someone in your area with them.

    roaches in florida

From what I have heard, non-native roaches are illegal to have in FL unless you have a USDA permit. I used to keep them along with some mantis species which have the same rules. They are pretty touchy about people keeping potentially invasive species here now.

    hard water off glass

I just cut a lemon in half and use it to wipe the glass squeezing it as I go. Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes and then rinse it off with water. I have removed stains that have been on one of my tanks for 17 years this way, it is pretty amazing.

Can chameleons and anols be housed together??

I had a dumpy treefrog and an adult anole together when I was a kid, I came in one day and the anoles tail was sticking out of the dumpys mouth. They are actually pretty nutritious for chams, I know someone who feeds them to their females when they are producing eggs for nutrition.

Can chameleons and anols be housed together??

I have witnessed many chameleons eating anoles. Anoles can carry and transmit parasites among other things, I wouldn't risk it.
