I really wish I could of updated my original post.. Here are three images of his left hind leg, I believe it might be a sprain but he is my first chameleon and I don't want to be wrong.
As you can see there is some serious swelling, would bringing him to a vet do any good?
It's not so much getting hurt.. I just don't want him to hold a grudge against me for pissing him off to the point of biting. In end though eventually he will forget and its going to give me a head start on a healing process if he is developing MBD. Thank you so much!
@Walter1 if he has sprained his leg do you think I should arrange his cage in a way that if he falls its not so high that he hurts himself?
@Chameleon Company I really don't want to get bit.. and I don't want him to hate me but what you're suggesting makes perfect sense. I'll be sure to let...

Thank you sandrachameleon! I will be sure to look for any shed skin that may cut off circulation, though at this rate I'm sure by morning he will be rid of all of it. I also did not know that adults did not shed full body.. that is very interesting and will prove valuable information for the...
So I've found plenty of useful information on this forum but so far very little on shedding. My question is how long does this usually take? Literally an hour and a half ago I saw signs of shedding (first time ever with me woo) and now that my boyfriend is home we let him come out to roam a bit...
My baby chameleon did this too on Friday.. any vet office that excepts exotic pets were all closed. It is the third day of this behavior and he keeps his eye completely closed now. I attempted a saline solution to wash his eye out (I read how to do so on these forums) but no luck. I've only had...
Ok I keep reading different amounts and combinations of calcium, D3 and other supplements. I just purchased him Sunday from the reptile show in Tinley Park, I want to make sure I'm providing the best care right from the start!
Use calcium w/out D3 daily?
Use a D3 supplement twice a month?
Use...
Thanks NHenn, he is only two months old (: I just went to a reptile show in Tinley Park on Sunday. I had plenty of questions for the breeder but I'm glad that I found this forum as making a vet appointment every time I have a question is unreasonable.
Thank you as well CarlC
This is my first chameleon and I've done a lot of reading about his eating habits and what I should/should not feed him. The first two days he seemed uninterested in his food (I didn't have the calcium yet) eating two maybe three but it took him a while before he even tried to catch them. Today...
