    My new veilded Cham:)

I would make the basking spot 8 or so inches horizontally away from the basking spot, instead of it being up and down? Do you know the temps? The reason you dont want substrate at the bottom is because if a chameleon shoots a bug from the ground it can pick up dirt and such and become...

    Hornworms Questions-

Merlin LOVES hornworms! He will sit, roll over, and shake hands for them;) Anyways, if you keep them at room temp they will grow super fast, if you want them to stay the same size keep them in a wine cooler at arouind 55 degrees ,the cups they are in have food in them , so all you have to do...

    Teach a chameleon?

"I have to just yank it out of there because there is no nice way of it wanting to do anything" Okay, I am confused, do you yank it out or slowly work it onto your hand? Is this all you are feeding her? I would be pissy too if I was eating very little. But, if you are feeding her worms...

    Cage questions?

I would go with a aluminum screen cage just because the mesh can melt under the heat of a bulb. I attached a link below of cage the size you was looking for, they also sell drip trays for easy clean up:) As for the humidity, A veiled can handle lower humidity levels not as low as 20% but...

    Shedding question

I wouldn't give him a shower , he seems really young for that. You could steam the bathroom with the shower and that might could help him with it. Also, misting with warm water and longer/more times during the days will also help

    Couple Of Questions

Hello and welcome !:) Glad you have done some research:) What age do you plan on getting? That cage would be perfect for a adult, but a baby would have a hard time finding food, and there is a risk of falling. That being said, you can make it work, many people have had success with using a...

    Possible respiratory problem please help!

I would raise the temps slightly in his cage, it will help dry mucus. I'm attaching a thread from another website that might be of some help. I'm not 100% it works, but it makes since. I would still take him to a vet asap just incase of a bacterial infection Best of luck!

Hey welcome to the forums! Do you mind posting a picture of the little guy? I cant believe they found him on the road! Anyways , a picture would be great so we can help determine the age , help you set-up the cage, and the feeding and proper basking temps!. I've attached links to some care...

What kind of cup are you using ? A lot of people make a cup using a milk jug , and putting wire inside the jug so the crickets can climb inside and spark attention

    Possible respiratory issue

I have never read anything about that, but I would think you would want to lower the humidity a tad instead of raising it. (I am not 100% on this so I could be wrong.) Now, for the future if you are having humidity problems at warm humidifier would be better than a cool mist. I would still...

    Possible respiratory issue

increase the temps in his cage slightly, this is not a fix if its in more of a advance stage. But, it will up dry up the mucus in the body
