There's no rule on chams needing to be in a all screen enclosure. They do need ventilation which is easier to achieve with an all screen terrarium. But depending on your geographical local, glass enclosures can help in keeping your temps and humidity up.
I have two exo terra flexariums, I used to house a male and a female veiled in each, they are quite flimsy. After not even a year the stitching near the zipper was catching every time i would close it up, and drainage is not really made for them, the mesh does not alow water to pass through very...
Hope it works out for you. I've been looking around for mellers for awhile too. Only one I found was on an old website for a now shut down pet store in town, and I have had no luck finding out if it was sold or not.
Looks pretty good to me. Seems like there's plenty to climb on. Double check basking spot once you put the light in, it should be low 80's for a young Cham like that.
For feeding cups I use the white plastic beer cups (I wouldn't go with a clear one or your Cham may sit and shoot at the...
After I read this post I decided to try the 6500k lights in the hope to help my plants. So I grabbed 2 sylvania 20w 6500k daylight bulbs T12 and the appropriate ballast and fixture. I've had them for about 3 weeks and within the first couple days I noticed my schefflera leaves turning brown and...

i don't know anything about that plant, but i'm in edmonton and have gotten nice ficus, umbrella, and hibiscus plants at holes greenhouse in St.Albert. Don't know how far north you are, but that's always an option if your in the area.
I bought from PJ's pet's which is pretty much the equivalent of petsmart here unfortunately. Tiga was a birthday present for my gf and I had never owned a reptile in my life. they ended up giving me a completely wrong set up, sold me a cage that was to small, all glass, fake plants, waterfall...
thanks again for all the advice. I will taking the substrate out once I get home from work. I've noticedshe has been walking on the substrate quite a bit lately is that normal? I will be taking the waterfall out as well , never even thought it might be dangerous and she does like drinking from...
Thanks for the advice i never even thought of the substrate being dangerous. We are definitely going to take it out. So just a bare bottom on the mesh you think would be good enough? As far as the the fake plastic trees, we are going to consider taking them out to. i would just like to see how...
Glad to hear it is not toxic. Tiga was quite active today hunting down food and exploring her cage, so are worries subsided a bit. We only have one cham for right now. but thanks if we get another we will definitly get another cage.
I didn't know it was better without the substrate, why is...
