@trixiedixie doesn't smell at all like an alter ego of phantom so please take @trixiedixie with his 3messages history, that are all in this topic, seriously!
He did say he's a breeder so we believe that straight off the bat without questions asked!!! And all breeders know their stuff, I can confirm that since I had offspring of my water dragons in the past and since that day I know everything! I even tell vets what to do.
We should be a shamed of getting upset on a guy that we first tried ti helo best we could but decided not to follow up on it and being all annoying about it!!!

I looked at them. Other than that one video, there are some discrepancies with his husbandry of course but nothing that can't be fixed with more experience and research. It's not abuse for sure. That one video was obviously an accident, and the chameleon seemed perfectly fine other than the stress.
You're biased because you've been dealing with this person for however long. If you look at it from a 3rd party perspective, me, you're both at fault but especially you guys.

Ok then handling a sick chameleon is perfectly ok. It is just stressing it out even more, potentially leading to worse health problems

Learning to be a breeder was a journey for me. I didn't know everything from day one. From reading the previous threads and your responses you've all been pretty aggressive from the beginning, and being repetitive. You weren't letting Phantom fix his mistakes before telling him over and over again to do it.
You're only solidifying my impression of this community which is toxic and in itself, abusive.

Alrighty guys alright, @trixiedixie is making a valid point, whoever found this guys Instagram was in poor taste. That is his private life and it should not have been brought into the thread. Normally this is a super friendly and welcoming thread trixie and I'm sorry this is your experience. We should all try hard to remember that.
And I get it, I've seen the videos, that chameleon looks über stressed out. And yes while there has been improvements made, there is much more he can still work on and make better/do better. I don't agree with a lot of what he has said and it is frustrating but the user who said you should just ignore his thread is right. If it's really getting you down just refrain from it because it's sort of turning us all into otherwise (based on this site) really nice people into really mean people and that is no good.
Everyone has said their piece. Everyone has gave an exstended amount of advice. It is up to him now. Whether his stories match up or not is beside the point. Don't let this thread be the reason people stop coming to the forums to find out information. Don't let it pick at your nerves. I mean I've read through all the threads all the information has been given to him. Just let him be now. We've talked about more cage cover and things to climb, we've talked about leaving Slurpy be, about baths over showers, letting Slurpy eat on its own, taking it to a vet, it's sex, mbd, and ultimately finding it a better home. We've said it all. If he wants to follow the advice great and if he doesn't it's sad but what can we do? Now it is just turning mean. Even if he is just doing it for attention don't fall for it, there is so many other people on here who could be helped elsewhere.Don't be that be better. You're all better than that, I know because many of you have helped in my own times of panic as well and hope you will in the future too.

You're bending my words like you did with Phantoms. You want to know my opinion? Let him learn. Learning is learning from your previous mistakes. From this experience he will learn about rehabilitating sick chameleons, what not to do and what to do, all from first hand experience and not faceless people from across the world.
That's how many people learn and that's how I learned.

@trixiedixie I can see where you are coming from, but phantomchameleon came here for help and advise. We gave it to her and key points to helping her chameleons health have not been taken. Sick chameleons make us very sad

Alot of it has though, and it's evident that his chameleon has been slowly getting better but with any reptile rehabilitation it takes time for optimal results to show.
'Sad' doesn't justify harassing him, slander, rude comments, and especially not putting his personal life on blast for all to poke fun at. You realize people can now find out where he lives and what school he goes to now right?

But @trixiedixie if you would read more than 1 topic then you can hardly find any topics where people did not get help with the best of intentions.
Only topics where the OP started to be stubborn, rude or even started to lie have gone South.
If you don't want to come here that's your loss really, this forum is a valuable source of information and even teaches the most experienced keepers among us a thing or two occasionally.

I didnt hunt down his social media i came across it in the #veiledchameleon section. His instagram wasnt private ethier which mean its open for the hole world to see..
The problems you had are vailed and you learned from your mistakes as we all do. Phant is probably getting the best infomation for his cham and he's getting annoyed and putting his fingers in the air.
From the social media i see an ill cham being overly held, put into a plastic cup that dropped all that bad stuff.
If this was a dog it would be blown up on facebook and the person would have that animal taken away from them. BUT beacuse its a chameleon it doesn't matter.
I know phant has the right heart set for his chameleon, but he needs to listen to the advice to make his chameleon better.
If what im doing is wrong then a staff member can ban me.

Well then this is where we say goodbye, we can't guarantee that there isn't going to be the occasional heated exchange of words because that will happen sooner or later anywhere where a lot of people come together, so maybe this place just isn't for you.
Personally I love it here! I can learn new stuff and share my experiences, limited they may be, hoping they may help others.
It's a place full of likeminded people sharing a single passion, lemon ice cream!

Has anyone else noticed that at the same time @phantomchameleon stopped posting, this @trixiedixie showed up to completely defend him? I find that slightly odd. But either way, I have learned a lot from this forum and will continue to learn and take the advice offered to me when I ask for it. I am not perfect. None of us are. And we can all learn from each other, no matter how experienced we are. If the members listed above have such a problem with the people and environment here, they are free to leave at any time, just as any of us are. So let's all move on from this thread. We have clearly established this is a lost cause, and ultimately people will do exactly what they want to do in the end. I wish @phantomchameleon and @trixiedixie the best of luck in the future. And I will say a prayer for Slurpy, because I believe he needs all the prayers he can get, until he makes a total recovery.
