Camiezone babies from Homer and Big Girl

At least the smears are on a branch! It could be worse. Bolt cleaned his vent on my sleeve a few weeks ago. I'm telling you, Bolt knows he has me hooked/marked. Feeding silkies one at a time- really and pooping while in my hand, licking my skin! This guy is doing a number on me. I'm putty in his hands! Between Bolt, Carmelo ( my veiled), and the baby grasshoppers I'm done. The cuteness and sweetness has taken over. My brain does not have the ability to see them any other way.
I just looked up baby grasshoppers and wow they are actually really cute! Too bad they’re lunch! Mwahaha

@Andrew1283 IMO grasshoppers are the best feeders. They live a long time, do not need water, make no noise and Bolt and Carmelo absolutely love them. I go to the pet store 3 times a week for crickets, they die really quick, need water, and make too much noise. I have to clean the Cricket bin daily (remove dead crickets). I buy 40 but almost half of them die. Both crickets and grasshoppers are easy to gut load. For me, I'm trying to breed my own grasshoppers because sometimes the suppliers are out.

I would love to feed grasshoppers. How big of a grasshopper can Bolt handle? I know they can jump a heck of a lot faster and further than a cricket. Saucegandhi posted this link http://deanmissimer.com/ and there are grasshoppers 3” long and 4 oz. I can’t believe a grasshopper could be a 1/4 lb.

Thats the only place I know where to get other feeders. Looks like he is sold out though.

Yes, grasshoppers can be huge. I'm breeding my own. Bolt eats small-medium. I remove the bottom legs. They are kinda bony but they are worth everything to me. I can keep them over 3 months with none of them dying.

One of the forum sponsors is Mantis Place, but from what I see there aren’t any feeder type mantids available right now. It isn’t quite yet the season for feeder type mantis ooths. They should be available in a few months. I always get mine from eBay.
