we dont know what species it belong to
we dont know the age exactly

It's a veiled chameleon. If you can get w picture of the back of their legs we can probably tell you gender.

From what I see now looks female.

What does your cage set-up look like?

thanks for the quick reply guys

i will post some more photos of him today

but can you tell the age ?

and the other chameleons i saw online seems to be fat
mine looks very thin , and i just bought him yesterday :(

How is your cham getting around? And what is her grip looking like? What sort of UVB do you have?

Could be anything his color is dark thought he may be stressed do you handle him much? what are you feeding him and how often? does he eat?

the fact that he is laying on your hand concerns me and the way his feet are turned it could be bone disease.

When in the cage he has green color, when i touch him ( i only touched him twice since i got him ) he becomes dark brown, at night he has very light green color with some white stripes

as for the food, i give him Grasshopper , he eats around 15 - 20 daily

and one more thing , i feel that he is afraid when someone comes near the cage and he hide when u look at him close

here are some more pics of the cage and inside

She's turning dark brown is because she dislikes you handling her and also many chameleons require privacy so lots and lots of hiding spaces are needed for her to hide.

She looks lovely but I hate pet stores that sell chameleons are any reptiles with little to no knowledge on them and in the end up with problems or major health issues. :(

A few things are worrying me and will probably prevent proper aging..

1) I see DEFINITE signs of MBD especially along it's front left leg.
2) There is ALSO discoloration along his "extra bend" on his left front which looks to me like a break
3)That cham seems malnourished front the fact that SHE is not standing on her own
4)The colors on this cham are showing signs of severe stress to me though she doesn't look stressed in your hand which is telling me there is something wrong with her...

Please get that cham to a vet to be checked out because she looks weak and unstable to me

JMHO

thank you all for quick response

just was wondering if someone could tell the age of this cham

and tomorrow will be taking him to a vet to do a check up

It is hard to tell the age because it is stunted and not very healthy. It is not a baby and at least several months old. I know you will be facing some major health problems with this little one, I hate to sound callous, but it is hard to imagine buying an animal you have absolutely no information about. Of course we are glad you have joined the forum so we can help, but doing some research about an animal before you decide to buy it would save you some heartache.

I'm going to agree with the above posters on everything they have stated and would like to also add a little more... Being malnourished, it could be due to improper care, parasites, sickness, or a combination of them all. Definite signs of MBD though... Regardless of the situation, I would say take your time tonight and back track on the majority of the threads on this site. Read up on husbandry, read up on sexing (if it is female, there is a LOT of care needed), read up on diet and nutrition, and read up on stressers and the like. Hopefully, the little one will pull through...

Alright, just a bit more because I skipped this....

Please, until everything is settled I would line up the cage with paper towel or something soft and remove the substrate... if she has MBD, the risk of falling is increased and the increase of breaking a bone is even that much higher. When healthy, these guys can handle a fall but in this condition, you might not be so lucky.

Also, the watering dish is not necessary. They don't recognize standing water, the droplets on the leaves and such are what he/she will drink from.

I'm on a role for missing stuff lol....

Thermometer and hydrometers are necessary, they are quite tempermental when it comes to temps and humidity. Being as young as they possibly are, I would say all you need for a basking light is a standard house bulb, make sure they also have a UVB bulb. Unfortunately at that size of a tank, you are stuck with a compact unless they make a straight florecent at that size? If they close their eyes a lot.. it probably is the uvb. Keep the posts up and keep us informed. With the right ammount of work and effort, they will be able to pull through. :) Always ALWAYS stay positive.

On a lighter note, what is the name?

Oh, and people will say that a glass terrarium is NOT good... it depends on how well you maintain the temps and humidity and how well vented it is.
