Chuck (a young veiled) is not doing so well...

Young veild

Hey
U need some patience with baby chams some grow faster than others and also have different eating habits. My female stayed really small until the 6 month mark when she started to grow. I went thru hunger strikes and her eyes being closed one at a time for a week or more ! It was very stresful. I have male same exact age who grew rapidly ate like a pig . But i had them in lg cage from 2 months old never had problem, so setup ur cage with vines and hang pothos or get a ficus 75 watt bulb and ur 5.0 and lots of patience love and monitoring him . Oh yeah i also gutload my crix with repashy superload it has all the ingredients that any homemade fancy one have. I swear it made their colors super brite...

He looks dehydrated to me and I would have to agree about a new enclosure. He also looks stressed in your hand, I don't like to see that dark color on a Cham, IMHO.

Dehydration

All these conversations. What about Humidity levels? A small container with a heat bulb ballast and and a fluorescent ballast surely will dry something out in a small container very quickly. He does look dehydrated and skinny. I would follow what they all are saying about supplements. I would look at moving him into a larger cage and keep track of his humidity levels. And his hydration Keep an eye on his feeding make sure feeders are going in his little belly. Poor little Guy......

I was also looking at the picture of his housing arrangements. If Thermometer is reading 79-80 away from the light imagine directly under the light. I would hide under a leaf to:confused: I'm sorry I just feel so bad for him.........
