My chameleon George will turn green, then brown then green and so on in days hours or minutes but he is never the same. He turns really green with crickets. How can I make him stay green?

is he young if so they can be easily stressed hence going from green to brown light colours being a nice mood dark colours stressed try to keep him in a quiet room an maybe hold back a bit on handling best of luck with him

Chameleons change color based on their mood and to thermoregulate. So if he is basking he may turn brown to absorb more heat, or he may turn nice colors if he is calm. He is probably turning green when hunting because he is excited. So unfortunately, there is no way to make your chameleon stay a certain color.

This is unrelated but it seems very humid in his cage for so young assuming by 2 inches. most people have their enclosure around 50%
