Gout?

I keep calling and they never have them. I kinda don't feel like bothering them again but I can if you think I should.
Well they may have the results but the doctor has not reviewed them yet. I mean you paid for them to get the test done... So you have the right to find out if they have the results.

Yeah I'm starting to worry that the test isn't supposed to be done in 5 days and it's actually much longer.

Called and they said it could take 10 business days which is a long time. Rn he's just laying in the pothos where he fell asleep last night. Not gaping just seems lethargic.

Treating them for RI is not easy... It can be really hard on their bodies.
Yeah, I'm just glad he's not looking like he's getting worse as far as breathing. I'm trying to wait to do today's antibiotics until he gets up so I don't have to grab him out of there. Also hoping to maybe get a call back about results before I give him them in case there's a chance I can discontinue some of them and switch to the right stuff.

Do you have any horn worms to feed him? Sometimes I feed those to help get things moving since they are basically water balloons.

He looked terrible this morning. Eyes shut staying at the bottom and wasn't eating. I think it was a combo of dehydration and being cold. I think because of everything that's going on he doesn't have the energy to get up to his heat lamp and so he gets stuck at the bottom being cold. I brought a heat lamp to him and he warmed up and ate a few dubias. His eyes are both open now as well. I cleaned an old syringe off and injected the dubias with water so hopefully that hydrates him.

Just here to say praying for your little buddy 😞 🤞 you get some answers soon.
Thanks. At this point, I don't even think the tests will help much. He hasn't been gaping much really and has just been acting lethargic and sickly. Weird thing is it's only at certain parts of the day. In the morning and late evening, he looks really bad but when he gets up to his lamp and basks and in the afternoon he looks good. Yesterday he was zooming around with better colors looking pretty good. He can go from looking half dead to great and back to half dead all in the same day.

The results are in!!!! They called and said the new antibiotics are effective. Super glad to hear that and his behavior as far as gaping confirms it. He definitely seems unwell though. The vet that called wasn't the one I was working with but she thought I should have him in some sort of hospital setup to keep him warm because she said their immune system shuts off when they get cold. Is this true? If so I don't think I'll put him in a hospital setup but I might close off the very bottom of his cage so he doesn't get stuck being cold near the bottom. Would really appreciate any input now because I'm not sure what to do now that the RI seems to be improving. I'm mainly worried he has impaction.

I don't think he's gonna drink. He never drinks water from his dripper really. I have a fresh needle from his antibiotics that I could use to give an injection of just water. Is this a terrible idea?

You don’t want to give a injection of just water, especially into the blood, it can be deadly. I read that you are giving silkworms? Those are good for hydration. Chams are very shy drinkers so it’s not unlikely that he is drinking just when you’re not looking.
