Got two baby veiled about 5 days ago, the are a little over three months and they have all in all stayed pretty green and seem to be adjusting fine. But I noticed yesterday a patch of mold on the bottom of the branch like thing I have in their home Its a white mold and I'm not sure if this is normal since the lady who said it would be perfect for them didnt warn me about this.. I really dont want anything bad to happen the are my babys. please any advice.. Also should I just leave the bottom mostly bare and add more stuff to climb on?

the bottom can have things to climb on like branches an vines leading down to there but nothing in the line of dirt, bark, mulch, etc, things that they might eat on accident or intentionally. As far as the mold. I would take that branch out and scub it down with some soapy water and let it dry in the sun or replace the branch. Also, you should be housing them in seperate cages. They should not be kept together. Do you know if they are male or female?

So it would be better to leave it just glass on the bottom? And just scrubbing with soap and water it will be okay, or will the mold come back?

One male one female. They seem to be fine together right now, they are still just babies a little more then 3 months, I plan to seperate them once they it about 6 or 7 months since he will need a bigger space and I dont want him to breed her non stop.

Just glass at the bottom will be fine, the soapy water should be enough to get rid of mold if you dry it out properly afterwards. They both look healthy to me, are you sure they aren't brother and sister? If so, you probably would be best not breeding them at all.
They might seem fine together for now, but if your chams are like most chams then they will grow very fast and it will be long before 7 months that they need separating. Even if they have lived together as babies they will stress each other out by competing for space and food, and it will be very hard to tell if they are unhappy. About 4 months old is the limit, males will almost always be fighting each other by this time, females have even sometimes laid eggs at 4 months..........
When they are very small like that a cheap plastic laundry basket does well as a temporary enclosure for when you are cleaning cages or taking them out for sun time (be very careful to make sure it doesn't fall over of course )

I would not recommend any fake plants with veileds..If they are not designed for reptiles i would take them out and buy some real plants. Normal decorative vines and plants arent made to be tugged at and fall off easily. they are then consumed easily.

Thank you very useful info!! & no I am not sure if they are from the same litter, but the petshop I got them from said it was safe to mate them once mature.. If I choose to breed them and they happen to be related what could happen??
And I definatly dont like having them together, he is grouchy in the morning already lol, and I just think they would be much happier on their own but my origanally I was only gonna get him, but I feel in love with her. unfortunatly didnt have funds for the extra cage /:
I think I'll try that laundry basket idea and give them some fresh air and sun today

As for the fake plants, I plan to get real ones, ecspecially since my boy seems to want veggies.. But what are safe plants, or the most enjoyed by the chams?

Hibiscus is a great one that is good to eat as well.

I would personally not want to breed them if they are closely related. It probably wouldn't have much of an effect after one generation, but any inbreeding can quickly result in deformities and other related genetic problems. If the pet shop had actually told you they were from different parents it would be better but pet shops are notorious for not giving the best advice.
I got my 2 from different pet shops 3 months apart, so I think I'm safe

Remove the vine. Don't try to scrub it and burn off the mold. Just get a new one. Any new branches or moldy ones must be cleaned and I would bake them in the oven at very high temperature to kill off any bacteria. As far as the babies go. They are fine right now. They won't mind being together. But after about 3 months, seperate them. Don't wait till 7. I was doing that and my male chameleon started to mate with my female and was being nasty and terrirorial over the cage. I noticed this after she was already impregnated. Then she had eggs a week ago which isn't very healthy for her due to her young age. But she is getting fed a lot now And is getting healthy. But don't wait to long before you seperate them or she will be stressed and go through what my poor baby went through. Not my fault!!! It was my first time and the pet store workers told me a whole bunch of BS. Never listen to them for anything !
