HELP problem with my veiled?????

Hi, I have a male veiled chameleon, he has just recently started displaying some very odd behavior, he will not sleep in his branches no matter how many times I put him up there he gets down on his own and sleeps on the ground. Constantly. His eyes, when they are open, only are about half open, grip is very weak, not eating, not drinking, just lays there. He also today pooped out a weird big glob of white sticky mucous like stuff. And this all started with him constantly, constantly being in the bottom of his cage digging. It is not a female. I do not understand what is happening, or how it happened, one day he just was no longer interested in anything but digging, now he wont eat, wont drink, wont perch in any of his branches, nothing. I have the right lights, I mist the cage, there's plenty of branches, vines, and leaves. I had to force feed him last night but I could only get him to eat 3 and by the third one I practically had to push it into his throat. I have been racking by brain for weeks looking this up over and over again and I just don't understand what is happening or why. I've questioned if it was MBD, but it makes no sense. Every other bag of crickets I give him is dusted with calcium, he has a 10.0 UVB reptibulb, what could this be? Is there anything I can do? Is it too late?

Calcium should be dusted on almost all feedings. How much cover has he got to get out of the UVB if he wants too?

I would advise against pushing food into his throat. If he's not eating there is likely a reason why.
