So a couple months and three vet visits later, they decided that my veiled does have gout. It's mainly in one of his hind knees, but he's got deposits along his tail (weird, I know.) But anyway, the vet is currently looking for the medicine to prescribe to us, and has been for the past few weeks. Does anyone know where I could find it to tell her about it? I know she's very busy, and I don't want to wait any longer because things only seem to be getting worse.
Also, for anyone who has had a cham with gout, does the medicine work? I'm definitely going to try it on him once the vet gets it for us, but are results usually promising?
Now part three. After giving him an antibiotic and anti inflammatory during meal time for a couple weeks (we stopped giving them as instructed by the doctor) he's begun to associate eating with the medicine, which he did not like. So he isn't eating. The only thing I can get him to eat are super worms, which he obviously can't have as his main diet. He's steadily losing weight, and becoming less active. What should I do?
Any help on either of these three things would be greatly appreciated!!
