iam new

thank you all very much for the information i called petsmart and iam going to return the cage and i just got all the things i need to make my own out of screen and i got some live plants i really do appericate all the information i new to this and i need all i can get when i am done with the new cage i will post some pics.

Paper towels..

When it gets dirty, you just take the old ones out and put some new ones in..

It's very easy.

Also what makes it even easier is if you get some low, low plant stands to place the plants in that way your plants wont get root rot (stinky!!) and when you clean you don't have to lift anything up if the plants are on the stand.

You can also use those plastic shelves that you put in the cupboards as plant stands but the lowest height i've found them to be is 5 inches which is too high for my 36 inch cage.

It's easier to clean & put paper towels if everything is lifted a little off the cage floor.

And if you plan to build your cage, you wanna keep drainage in mind

Ooops I forgot to say or NO SUBSTRATE, you can just pick up the poop when you see it with a paper towel.

I spray my floor bottom with healthy habitat, wipe, then put fresh paper towels on it.

i just wanted to say thank you very much for all the help i finally finished the nw cage its just for temp till he gets bigger and out grows it so i can get him a real cage. he seems to be much happier in this one he moves around all over the place he even started to drink in front of us here is a picture of him. and thank you very much again.
