is this bad?

Since getting my chameleon as a baby she has stopped walking in the way that they like move their steps forward and backward before actually taking the step if you know what I mean by that. Just wondering if it is bad that she doesn't walk like that usually anymore

That is a defense mechanism. It is imitating the way leaves move because of the wind. So it is normal

But is it bad that she does NOT do it anymore?

Not at all. They don't do it all the time. My chams used to do it when they were little, now they don't do it in their cages. When I take them out and put them in a tree I have, they mimic the leaves.

If that is how it is walking, then it is mimicking the motion of leaves in the wind.

Yes that is what I was talking about. It seems that the babies do it and my adult and juvenile don't so much

most will stop doing it when they become comfortable in there surroundings. i still see the sway with my adults in my outside enclosures.
