jack ate his first pinkie mouse!!

IMO pinkies should never be fed to chameleons, yes in the wild they eat just about anything they can get their tongues on, and most of the time they are probably ok from it. But from time to time they get impacted and die...we as keepers have the option of feeding our chameleons such a wide variety of feeders, without the risk of impaction or death, and for most of us the health and longevity of our chameleons is the most important thing (not suggesting you feel differently about your cham than I do OP). To compare things that happen in the wild to things that happen in captivity is incorrect, we have the ability to control every aspect of our chams life, from lighting, misting, supplementation and feeding, and therefor can minimize risks to them. Just my opinion....I'm sure there are those that feel differently than I do!

I seriously don't understand when people say "I know this is wrong and can cause X problems, But I did it anyways."

I'm glad to hear he has passed the pinkie! Everyone needs to relax a bit, I'm sure everyone here has made a mistake at some point while keeping reptiles, the point is her cham is fine, and she has learned a lesson, and thankfully nothing bad happened to her chameleon!
