Jackson chameleon Calcium

my grandad and I are building a chameleon terrerium today !!! So it had everything that I need and it's how I'd like it to look and what's best for max
Good luck. Post some picks when it's finished. Don't forget to add lots of branches to climb, plants to hide and live plants to hold humidity. Keep up the good work!

Do yourself a huge favor, and plan for a way to catch and drain the water in your new custom cage. I've used a plastic pan, they sell at Home Depot or Menards, meant for washing machines. It's square and has a hole you can knock out and attach a drainage tube. I attached a tube and sent the waste water to a bucket, so I could empty it once a week. Made it a lot easier. It's easier to plan it during the build than try to fix it later.
You could also look for the plastic pans they sell for dog crates or rabbit cages, they look like they would work, too.
I keep a piece of screen covering my drain pan just in case he falls

How deep is that pan in inches
I cant tell. What kind of tube do you use? This is a great idea. Ill buy 5 if this turns out good. Does it fit in the bottom of a regular 18"×18" cage?

That model is 2.5 inches deep. It it 28 x 30 inches in length and width. It comes with a hose connector [I don't know what it is really called] with an outer diameter a little over 1.5 inches. There is a circle area to cut out for it, but you can cut out a circle for it anywhere.
Some members have just used a funnel in the middle, and placed a bucket beneath it. My local Dollar store had 3 funnels for a dollar.

Yeah your idea was way smarter I did the Trey thing first like I put boards under the terrerium and slid the Trey under the habit but the water was leaking off the sides on the floor so at the time it was simple to prop it up in a bin and drill a hole under it and sit that one up and put a smaller one under it for the water to drain. The custom cage we're building I was going to put legs coming off or was even thinking about a table with holes in it so all the water would drop down and I'd have a container to catch that

Drainage is important. There is a thread here with some suggestions. They are a bit more than my abilities, but some would work without the need of more expertise.

Is that a pic of your chameleon in the bathtub.
It's because I read that at night or even in the day if the Jacksons turn a light color at night that means there's not enough heat but his terrerium never gets below 60 at night so I put him in like warm bath it's good for hydration as well correct. Is he to young to put well stick plants to the shower wall while I shower and let him sit in there ?

I'm not sure about the soap, if he were to get in contact with it if it would hurt him

hows your cham doing?
He's doing so much better he doesn't head butt me anymore I gave him more suffixes to climb on he refused to eat worms so he's been eating crickets which he seems to like a great bit. To me he seems very adventurous which is a problem sometimes when I take him out side Bc he try's to grab everything if he can reach it. I love watching when he uses his tail to balance on and he'll pull himself with his arms but I notice when he's nervous he'll lift his right hand and hold it close to his chest

Now I do question the coloration I've read they get their colors when they get older then I've also read they should be colored already and they'll be dark only if they're stressed he seems to hide behind plants as well now he's more active tbh he just kinda explored everywhere in the terrerium if the tail is straight that's adventuring if it's curled they're unsure right ? I'm thinking about lowering the basking watt I didn't have a prob with it it heats to 80 but today he opened his mouth while hanging from the screen I then misted him with cool water
