I'm erasing an untoward rant that wasn't necessary. Misplaced emotional spillover after just leaving another similar thread regarding the point I was making. .
dumb rant 2
Sorry, I missed this - was any of your rant aimed at me, Dr O? I don't feel I deserve that - I love Monty and want what's best for him. I have had him since he was 7 weeks old and weighed just 2g. He means a lot to me!
however, i am thrilled with your success with Monty!! the site looks fantastic, and i suspect you will only get good news from the pathology report. if it helps you through this any easier, it's gross appearance is not that of a metastatic cancer, so get those thoughts out of your head if they're there!
on another note, your photos of whatever Monty's current issue is are always spot-on. macro lens/cropped/focused----there's so many people that post blurry photos from 2' away and expect answers, i never understood that! yours are always excellent though, and he is such a handsome subject to begin with.
I love taking photos and macros are an excellent way of seeing what is not easily seen, especially where Monty's mouth is so small and difficult to gain access to for a proper look.
i may approach you again to see if you want to share some of your photos for some articles that i'll be writing for my site! (credited to you, of course).
I had my long awaited call from the vet today with Monty's biopsy results. Monty's suspected tumour was actually 'granulating tissue with proud flesh'. The lab found a piece of shattered tooth in the centre that was causing all the trouble and not letting it heal. How on earth he broke a tooth in the first place is a mystery to me. Just super happy that it wasn't any thing nasty and no further treatment is required! Love my dinky dinosaur so much!
