My brother needs your thoughts and prayers

My brother was savagely beaten and is in the ICU on a ventillator. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

He is a free spirit and was playing guitars w friends for money in downtown riverside, California when a group of thugs tried to steal the money out of their guitar cases and beat him so bad that he has bleeds in 3 areas of his brain along with multiple fractures in his face. He has a 50\50 chance of recovery.

Please think positive thoughts and hope for a speedy recovery.

Oh my goodness! That is terrible. The things people will do for just a little bit of money. I got robbed at gunpoint last week all for my phone and my empty backpack.

I had my first mma fight against a person who murdered an innocent homeless man sleeping on the side street(I am not implying I know your brothers housing story or status at the time of the incident). I won the mma fight in the first round but I still wish I could have beaten the hell out of him a little more.

I have no idea what you must be feeling but just pray and God will hopefully make a miracle. So sorry again and I am still praying hard for a great recovery.

Little update. He has now been on life support for 7 days. They are trying to turn down the ventilator each day and it was turned down for 8 hours yesterday. They are changing the medications he is on to something a little less sedative so that they can see if he can start trying to wake up. He moved his arms a little and squeezed my moms hand when she talked to him about his son. His son is 7. My mom then told him that we told his son that he was in the hospital and that he was hurt and my brother furrowed his brow and frowned. We are hoping for some good news soon. He has multiple fractures in his face and one of the 3 brain bleeds has reabsorbed. We wont know anything in regards to possible brain damage until after he wakes up. Thank you for your support and hopefully I will have good news to update with soon.

That is so terrible, and I am so sorry for your brother and for you and also your family.. Did they catch the people who did it? I sure hope so. It sounds like there is some glimmer of hope with what you posted on your update. I will continue to pray for your brother that he will continue to show improvement each day. I wish him a full and speedy recovery and I hope he can one day be back to playing his guitar.

I was trying to search the net for an update to see if these animals were apprehended, but didn't find anything. I hope they get what they deserve. More importantly, I really hope for a full recovery for Ryan! Will keep on praying for the best.
