Let me fill you in on something. The subject of bonding is largely proven in our favor. If you feel differently that is fine, but do not approach it in a mean rude manner as you have been.

Did you even take the time to look at the scientific journal article I sourced? It refutes their claims and backs up my accusations.

I agree YOU have formed a bond, the issue at hand is have they. The answer is largely no, IMO.
This is a hotly debated topic in the Reptile industry as a whole not just with chameleons. However to Bond would be to attach a human emotion to animal that it can not feel. Saying that it can is Humanizing the Animal.
Okay, what you have is not proof at all. If you think it is you largely do not understand the word. I agree that some members here are closed minded, however on this subject Being a "Vet" or "Very Experienced Keepers" says nothing. There is Herpetologists that still remain divided on this subject and maybe always will.
For every shred of evidence to the fact they can, there is another they cannot. Anyone who says they can or cant, is speaking solely from an opinion standpoint.
This however was not what the conversation was about anyway, so kinda irrelevant.

Not sure what a scientific article has to do with your botched testing and horrible attitude. No one is disagreeing with your case, I would have openly heard it, I wanted to. Then you began to be hostile, and negative in all of your posts and showed an attitude that is very familiar to a adolescents, after that point you lost all credibility.
Thank you @Kclarke02, and I am glad this forum has been so much help for you, chameleons are amazing creatures and complex. And I definitely care for them and give them as good of a life as I can in captivity. They are my babies, and I treat them as such! Congrats on the new hobby, I think the feeling of freedom is what makes my guys the happiest. Though they all have their own separate cages, I leave their cage doors open most of the day and they are free to explore my outdoor/indoor greenhouses and terrariums

I'm a doctor and herpetologist by hobby. Say whatever you want, but I started off polite until you both got hostile, even after I explained multiple times that this thread was for positive criticism and opinions. I'm just not a pushover and going to put up with yall's opinionated attitudes because you feel as though your famous on this forum and everyone should worship you. I appreciate that you guys help others, and offer advice to newer enthusiasts. I won't even sell a chameleon to someone who is not set-up and include a care and feeding sheet with every chameleon I sell. But I don't appreciate you attacking me in the thread I created for open-minded discussion, and spreading your own opinions and thoughts while bashing me as a chameleon owner. Not to mention neither of you had anything positive to contribute to this thread and couldn't even back up your ignorant and close-minded opinions leaving it up to myself to provide the journal articles to refute yall's false information.

I do not believe for a second that you are a doctor or a scientist. If you were you would not speak and approach things the way you do. Someone with a lengthy college education, speaks good English and does so in a mature manor, you do neither.
Few other things,
1. "yall's" is not a word, it is a slang, commonly used by uneducated people, please stop using it.
2. I am far far from famous around here, but thanks for thinking I am.

Welcome to Science, and adult hood. When you post a piece of information, and are told it is inaccurate. It is your job to provide factual evidence on the contrary, it is not our job to play into your witch hunt.
4. (This is to your past post). Me and Jean far from "Gang up on people together" As a matter of fact we debate on subjects quite often. However I suppose, that is logical everyone that has a different viewpoint or idea than you are all "ganging up on you". Seems like half the members of the thread are ganging up.

Believe what you want, and yes ya'll is a word and in the dictionary. It's common for people from Texas. And english may not be my first language, but I graduated as one of the top students in my clinical and lab rotations. And 3). don't go around spreading false information... I am sorry, I thought as scientists it is our job to provide sources to back up our factual statements and not go around spreading nonsense?

First of all, and I have to speak up, I use the word y'all all the time. It's a regional dialect and saying it's used by uneducated people is highly offensive to me. I'm from Texas, where everyone says that, it's not a state filled with uneducated people. Stop saying that. I think everyone needs to take a step back and realize what this forum is meant for. Not attacking those who share the same love, respect and appreciation for chameleons.

English does not need to be your first language. A doctor, would know how to speak English and how to type it and properly.
Its okay, this is the entire, and every 13 year old Herpkeeper is a doctor or a scientist or both. I am not a Doctor or a Scientist

The word is an abuse of the English language, pure and simple. Go get a job that requires professionalism and see how long you keep it typing yall in all your reports.
If you want to be taken seriously, and and be assumed as educated, then speak correct and proper English.

@jannb has the better Christmas hat photo though. After seeing all of her family photo pics, I'd gladly make her Herbert's God Mother! All of her little guys and gals look so happy. Herbert's Grandma (my mom) let me rip that hat off of one of her Christmas decorations. It was the smallest one that I could find but still a little too big for him. Maybe it'll fit better this year though as Herbert was only 4 months old last Christmas. I sent out that picture to friends and family over the holidays. They loved it.

Again I am sorry if that offends you. It offends me, when people butcher proper English. This is a professional forum, and it states in the rules to speak in English. "Yall" is not English it is slang that is pure and simple.
It is not hard to speak properly and say "You All" which is what Yall means.

Last I checked this was not a "professional atmosphere". It's an open public forum, hence the title Chameleon Forums. I have a job, a profession actually, where I work in a surgical setting, the last 5 years. You have no right, no place, no information to base your crass comments on. Like I stated, you need to stop.
