New Rescue Veiled coming in tomorrow

hello, i have a 1 year old male veiled and can no longer afford him. I am giving him away for free and he will come with a cage and everything he would need (except food). I live in the Chicago area, and you have to pay for shipping or driving. I want him to be in a loving and caring place. He is healthy. thank you

Lmao XD this time I am not even working on trust to get him like in and out of places, currently I am just picking up his tail slightly and moving my hand under him from behind, then he goes outside and is left along for a couple hours. As far as food I am in no rush. And I have lots of feeders to try at my disposal. If necessary I will force feed in small amounts. But I hope to get him moved to cup feeding.

We try ^^, we know how hard it is to realize you can't care for your little ones, so this is a huge for you to realize this. A lot of people push it too long to make their chams unhealthy. <3

So poor Neptune didn't eat today, (not that I expected him to) and is in the middle of a pretty hardcore shed. I may stick him in a shower in the morning before he goes outside for his 2 hours of UVB. He took his liquid calcium easier tonight than yesterday, Easier to make grumpier and gaped for me, took advantage and was done within minutes. The mister is working beautifully.

I can't wait for you guys to send that to me <3 Prince Neptune is grumpy today but obviously feeling better because of the carnivore care he has on board. Getting it in him is a chore. XD But afterwards he has had so much energy so I don't think I have much to complain about currently. He's shedding nicely as well, and got 2 hours of natural uvb (not really sunshine today since it was so overcast but warm enough for him to go out). He's definitely being taken care of here, I promise you. Once he settles down some more I will send you guys some new pics.

As far as the left @Katacara forelimb you talked about, it doesn't have a tiny bit of bending, I think it would be from just the cracking and folding that happen's when their bones start collapsing in on themselves. I don't think it will get worse with his liquid calcium getting to him.

I hope to get him some weight gain and eating by himself in at most the next couple weeks, but honestly they have their own schedules in mind.

Just weighed Neptune today, he weighed in at 65 grams even. At his size he should weigh a minimum of 75 grams more around 80. He should still weigh more considering he's stunted but yeah. I am pretty sure he's gained weight while he's been here. And gained weight while @Katacara was taking care of him. I am sure he was in horrible shape before he was taken in by her. Especially from what we have discussed his urates being like.

@Katacara you were 100% correct. Neptune is not eating on his own. I am not sure if it's currently just because he's stressed, or his MBD is affecting him badly... not sure. He doesn't have a parasite problem, at least not bad enough he's not gaining weight. He's gaining just visually. I am pretty sure in 4 days, when his next weigh in will be he will be around 2-5 grams heavier. He's definitely more hydrated I am adjusting his misting schedule now, from dehydration schedule to normal veiled schedule. And he has sass and then some. I am thinking about ordering some hornworms and such... did you try anything special with him specifically?
