Not a nosy faly, but what is he?

Hi guys, I wondered if you could help identify the locality of my Panther? He's my first chameleon & I bought him as a brown juvenile from a reputable reptile shop & they said he was a Nosey faly. He's about 7 -8 months old now & he doesn't look anything like a faly from what I've seen on pics. He does have a paler phase where he shows peach colours around his eyes, but no blue.

I'm not that fussed about him not being a nosy faly, but just interested in what you think he is.

Hopefully there will be some pictures accompanying this post ....

Thanks Michelle

Looks Ambanja to me

Unfortunately no one but the breeder can tell you his locale. He does not look to be ambanja or ambilobe though.

A lot of pet shops buy from hobbyists that don't even know what they have. So he could be a cross of some kind, but can't say for sure.

He looks almost exactly like my late nosy mitsio...but theres no definite way of figuring it out without lineage.

Thanks for all of your responses. Trying to identify him is more for my own curiosity than anything else. I suppose I could ask the shop to find out what the breeder bred off, but there's no guarantee they'll even know for sure anyway (esp if they've got it wrong one time already!).

I'm happy with him anyway (won't be breeding off him) so that's all that matters :)
