On top of having a URI my poor Nosybe also has worms. My vet told me to use Panacur which i told him i had at home. He told me if i couldnt figure out the doasage to call him, which i did, but he still hasnt' returned my call. I feel that possibly giving him the panacur could really help him feel better but i still can't figure it out. Math is not my favorite subject. Does anybody know how much i should give him? He is 102 grams.

.1cc of panacur if you use a little more its ok panacur is pretty safe.

From what I keep hearing Panacur (aka fenbendazole) is very safe. It's really used extensively as a horse dewormer. I've read a study somewhere that they treated pregnant mares with it at extreme dosages, something like 1200 times the dose with no ill effects to the mare or the baby horse (colt I believe is the term :). There are some dart frog keepers in the hobby that actually preventively dust the fruit flies with panacur and vitamins with no ill effects and claim that their frogs are in top shape with no parasitic burden to deal with... the guy is actually an exotic vet. I'm not one for over medicating with dewormers, but I thought I'd chime in.

You are right about dusting the fruit flies with dart frogs. But im not so sure about preventively, I use it when I get some fresh WC in, but I would never dust one of my CB tinks unless they were not putting on weight or came back positive from a fecal float.

Yup I do same with WC. I do treat my whole collection about once a year ... if I remember :) Just in case

Never heard of a vet letting the client figure out the dosage. I don't understand why he wouldn't have told you.
