here are a few pics of my set up. I haven't got a real good chance to get close up pics as im still letting her get settled into her new home.

if anyone sees anything amiss please feel free to add improvement input

thanks and enjoy

Your set up looks nice. The only thing I would do is add a basking branch or vine about 7-8 inches below the light. That way your chameleon can bask horizontally a little easier, and not just vertically.

will do, I have tons of branches outside that could use a nice baking :)

thanks for the reply everyone!

I'm with carol! More branches! Branches branches branches! I don't think there is such thing as too many!

She's precious. How long have you had her? Where's she from? Tells a little about her!

ok well, she is a ambilobe panther cham, I've had her for about a solid week on Tuesday. unfortunately the place I got her from didn't provide me with an exact birthdate but was said to be around 2-3 months old. I was thinking she is on the lower part of that. maybe 2.5 months, but im no expert by any means. Her body is about the half the size of my index finger.

I try not to handle her to much as im really thinking the reason for the darker colors is just my very presence, which I believe she is getting used to a little more. I had to a job to do yesterday (im a home health respiratory therapist) and when I came back home her colors where nice a light tan. Once she saw me tho, he got a little darker.

I have 3 plants in the enclosure a umbrella plant, a small pothos and a small ficus. I have 3 fake little vines in there also to fill out some of the top area cause the ficus just isn't big enough, my home depot either had them to small or to big for my enclosure size.

she has been eating good, and poop looks very normal. all black and white. I mist her 4 times a day for 3 mins with the mistking set up. I just introduced silk worms to her (smallest ones out of the jar) and im sure they look very alien to her as she has just avoided them. she does like meal worms but I don't want to feed her to many as I hear they are not very good for chams.

every feeding is a dusting of rep-cal w/o d3 or phos. This week tho im going to start a feeding with d3 and then a few days later to a feeding with the multivitamins.

I figure in about a month or two I will get her a bigger cage. DIY cages look very good. Im happy I went with a small cage as she is still very tiny :)

Thanks again for the replies

just a heads up also, I will be the proud owner of acies last male from rottsko. im getting his cage all set up and ready. My wife has been very involved in us getting back into chameleons and this site has def. helped that along.
Thanks guys for the input and support.

Awesome! This site is extremely helpful huh! It's so nice to actually have pictures to look at where people explain exactly how things are done and what not!
