reptarium???????

I say if you can, raise it so that there is a foot or so above your head. My Cham has so much more attitude since I moved him onto a desk! I have to use a step ladder or chair to reach his dripper or to hand feed him, but I think it's worth it.

He needs a linear tube style repiglo or reptisun. Coil bulbs can cause eye problems and even burns. The only one I would ever even consider is the new reptisun coil bulb.

Is this the plant?

this thing is like to the level of my neck already......

The idea is that the chameleon is higher than you, then they feel very secure. Your neck isn't higher than your head..... It is just a tip. You don't have to do what we suggest... but if you want to do the best for your cham, it is just a good idea to listen.

Are you sure.... I need to see more people telling me it's poisonous i trust what you're saying but I will feel better when more people tell me the same thing ...

What's a non poisonous plant then ....????

would definately not use that. About 4 people have laready told you not to.

Safe plants that are commonly used are:
ficus
pothos
hibiscus
and dwarf umbrella plants

Look at any safe plant list. It says Schefflera Arboricola. Which looks like this(1st pic). The one you have is a Schefflera Amate which looks like this (2nd pic). Here is a link to info about both, and a link to FlChams' safe plant list showing it isn't safe.

LOL if only one person replied saying "jumping off a bridge wasn't safe", would you listen to them?

I need one win big leaves and easy to find... These plants look small the ones you all showed me half the cage will be empty and space will be wasted ... Is there a good harmless plant with big leaves and relatively tall just like the one I have????

This means I have to go back to home depot now :(

home depot will probably not have any tall plants this time or year, but a nursery might. Ficus' are trees and thus get tall, dwarf umbrella plants have bigger leaves than a ficus when they are big, pothos have nice broad leaves but it is usually a hanging plant and grows down or across instead of up, and hibuscus have relatively broad leaves and can be huge. Plus some chams like to eat the flowers on a hibiscus.

EDIT: I was referring the ficus benjamina, there are other more broad leave ficus' out there.

I found a two foot dwarf umbrella at home depot ofr ten bucks about a month - month and a half ago. It's probably grown about a half a foot in some areas since then. I also saw some ficus like that at HD, but a nursery might have more to choose from.
