reptarium???????

i went to HD and returned the plant....but they did not have any of the plants that you told me about.... so i went to rona and found the ficus plant....so i got it but it was a little too big for my cage so i started cutting down......while i was cutting down i noticed this white stuff coming out of the vines.......is that safe for the cham?????

no..... so just keep a spray bottle handy and spray water on the tree as it oozes the white stuff. it will bother the chams eyes and skin if they come in contact.... but it just washes away. remember to wash the tree down to remove pesticides.

my cham is biting the vines ,,,,,......is that ok.... i think he wants to eat it or something........ what shall i do????

ficus tree vines man..... ya i fed him good....he eats 3-5 silkies and supers a day + 2 or 3 crickets..... i just got this plant today though maybe hes getting to know it or something..........

If your chameleon is eating the leaves of its plant, have you considered offering it better vegetation chewing options? Such as dandelion leaves, romaine lettuce, collards? small sliver slices of apple or pear?

You seem to have a lot of questions. nothing wrong with that except you are asking a little late - might have been better to learn about the animal and its needs and save up enough money to proper care for it before buying it. oh well. its not too late. I'd really like to hear what type of lighting you are using. You've been asked many times, but so far I havent heard you answer (or did I miss it). Reptiglo 5.0 can mean a CFL or a tube. If you are using a CFL UVB light, you might be causing irrepairable harm to the chameleon's eyes.

It is a CFL.... because there are two dome fixtures on the cage....

It is a good idea to turn off that light and buy a linear tube lamp. The Zoo Med 5.0 is the lamp of choice.

my cage is 24x24x48 so what size tube shall i get??? 18 or 24 inches???

I would get a 24" dual fixture... they have them at Home Depot for about $20 (USD) Then ALSO buy a 6500K color temp tube. You might have to get two at once.... but you'll have the second for later.

BE SURE to buy a T8 fixture and tubes When you get your Zoo Med lamp, make sure it is T8! T8 T8 T8 T8 T8....

i have no idea what youre talking about.....what you mean dual fixture... i thought i should get the reptisun 5.0 thing linear tube everyone is yelling at me for not having.....shouldnt i get that????
