So angry

Lay it with the glass facing the floor and slowly cut away the plastic. Could wear gloves to prevent cuts. The window screen you can get at Lowes, home depot, Walmart and any hardware store. Method of attachments could be zip ties (trim them so they don't hurt your little guy) bread ties, fishing line, even hot glue maybe. For the bottom you want like a vinyl tile, something that can get wet repeatedly and be cleaned easy also can be trimmed to fit any size. As for a door you'll have to get a little creative, using wood, the hinges and the screen. Don't get discouraged get creative, it makes it really yours then!

Im totally discouraged lol

Nothing good comes easy. Believe me when I tell you these guys are worth all the work and headache. By far worth it :)

This is a really sh*tty situation. I almost feel you would be better off building your own enclosure if you need to replace all sides and doors on this one. It is going to be a pain to attach anything to that plastic frame, not to mention that it is now missing its main structural component (the glass). I would think it will be fairly flimsy.

Hope you are able to figure something out. Best of luck!!

Oh... don't throw in the towel. Must keep pushing forward!!

Wrapping a glass cage in bubble wrap is a joke way of shipping a tank like that.

I couldn't agree more! That is a half-job right there! That cage should have been put inside of a box, padded with foam, bubble wrap, air packets.... It should have been secure. And all the loose items inside the cage bouncing around was definitely a stupid idea as well. Has that person never shipped something before in their entire lives?!!!!

Pic taken from top of tank looking down. This was sent with all the extras just loose inside. What a joke!

I'm betting that might be what cracked it initially. That is an EXTREMELY POOR packing job right there.

I would most definitely file a claim with him or with the shipping company. The courier doesn't insure glass, no.... so that's a bummer. But does it pay it's employees to do their friggin job? Which, by the way, I'm sure, REQUIRES them to READ and TAKE EXTRA PRECAUTION when handling a package that SPECIFICALLY says "GLASS" on it probably over 100 times? I mean how can you miss that? It shouldn't be thrown, dropped, shaken, tapped on, or even breathed on! Hopefully this goes well for you.... But if not.... then as others have said.... you can always try to re-build it. Or, sad as it may seem, it may indeed be a lesson learned..... :( It's not the end of the world though. Consider it a bump in the road of a long journey ahead.

Well other half may not be any good at diy but he sure is up for an argument an usually wins. Im hoping an praying someone will be held responsible.
The sad thing is the enclosure is real nice and i would really like to be able to fix it at least.

What is the shipping company???
It was a bargain at £230 thats why i got it
I bet u are not from the united states,I will try to read up the policy on the shipping company just to see if there is any protection values including with the shipping n call them and explain ur situation, they might try to reimburse u on their behalf,It happen to me once n I got on the phone to give them my speech n they end up give me the whole refund n bunch sorry emails reply,u should try to ring them now.

Ok so my o/h has just said we paid insurance via the courier parcel monkey but they call in parcel force to collect an deliver it. Its parcel force that dont insure glass. We have a damages form from parcel monkey that we have to fill in an send pics. Im still praying.

P.S Im in the UK x

Ok I will suggest follow thru their procedures, and let them know u are devastated on this glass enclosure ,cause u are their loyal customer, and use a calm voice, since arguing wont do u any good, and its up to them to give u the credit,be direct n let them understand ur point ,its going to be long process,do remind them to make a note on who u speak to n about,so the next rep u got on the phone can just read thru their notes without ur explanations over and over again, good luck n keep us posted ur story.

Lets all take a step back here for a minute...

How many panels are broken? Its kind of hard to tell from the pictures.

You mention your not very DIY'y well... no time like the present to learn!

Glass is actually pretty easy to replace.

Use any hard plastic for the bottom. Screen bottom may break, especially when you put plants on it or anything with weight. But if you have left over screen from fixing the sides, then it may be worth a shot to try on the bottom. Screen may be cheaper to use then replacing the sides with glass. Also screen is easier to cut. My Zoo Med Reptibreeze cage is all screen, except for the bottom which is removable.

Im the logistics coordinator where I work and manor in which they shipped this product to you is neglectful. If I was shipping something glass and I found out my warehouse guys were just wrapping it in bubble wrap and sending things out I would question their employment. I would talk to the seller and see what they can do for you, because honestly if the shipping company requests pictures of damaged goods and sees that packing job, they will deny any claim right away.

Was it in any kind of wooden create? If not it should have been. And you would think they would also brace the inside as well.

I agree with this point since the shipping company will try to deny the claim ,and like I had when I order the stereo system, and they did ask for the pic as matter of fact ,I call them and have the shipping company pick up all the broken stereo pieces n ship right back to the shipper, the question here is
we paid insurance via the courier parcel monkey but they call in parcel force to collect an deliver it. Its parcel force that dont insure glass
A third party insurance company is involved,so that will be the key to solve this issues, why do they except the insurance fee in the first place??in order to win this case ,probably have to talk to the right person and the right department to get this resolve on the receiver OP's benefits, and it all depends on how that OP claim with the explanation ,its worth a shot to get the reimburse if the OP talk to the right person,it might works it might not,who knows,to believe n try is always has better chance than not doing anything at all n take the loss ,plus she is a receiver, she might made a bad choice from the buyer but she should be able to claim n try to get back what she has loss.
