After about ten minutes of horrible ugly snot crying and calling my husband to tell him he's gone...
He just gets up.

Then takes a dump all over me and the bed...

-_-
Asshole.

you are just giving him bits of the boost correct? like the sever dose. thats scary stuff holy he is putting you through alot.. poor you poor him holymoly.

Woah, I don't know what to say. What strange behavior! I don't know what else you could be doing that you aren't already...

The sunken eyes aren't just a sign of dehydration, it also signals stress or serious discomfort - for example wild caught chameleons tend to sink in their eyes when you hold them out of stress. And sick chameleons may sink them in as a sign of discomfort. It's possible that there's something else bothering him internally that isn't water-related but is causing him to feel ill/pain. He was just at the vet's recently, right?

Yes he was there Monday where we confirmed an ri and a vit a deficiency along with being dehydrated and malnourished

i dont know if anybody has said this but he needs to go to a vet asap. i had veiled that looked like that. we took him to a vet and died 2 days later. you might be able to save him but in my opinion he doesnt have much time left till he die's unless you take him to the vet asap

You must have missed something here. He's already been and he's on meds but we appreciate the concern

maybe he has come to depend on you guys to hold him, feed him and water him and it stresses and upsets him when you aren't. you may have to slowly wean him off your constant care. sometimes sick animals become dependant and can "fake" being sick to get the same attention. i have experienced this with pets and learned about it while i was taking classes to be a vet. you have to be careful, the stress of it can cause them to get sick and die.

He is always under constant care and hardly left alone because of his condition.
I understand what you are saying though.

yea i feel like a jerk for not even reading the other responses and saying that, sorry:eek: after i had posted the comment i scrolled up and answered my own question should of done that befor i know:( but yea thats what hapend to my female veiled about 2 years ago she looked just how yours was in the pics with the closed sunken eyes. she was even sticking out her tongue like an inch or two like twice and just laid there. she was very light green but with clossed black swallen eyes and thats not normal. when i took her to the vet they said she is in very bad condition and she might be suffering from some eggs that she didnt lay from her last clutch. so we left her with the vet, she looked dead to me but the vet said she wasnt but died 2 days later and got a call from the vet saying she has pasted away.
hope yours recovers soon:D

Just because I've just lost my boy doesn't mean I do not care about your kid.
I truly hope that he'll always get the miracle...I mean at all time:)

For those of you who have been following Bemis' story I thought I would update.
He is still with us!
With constant care and monitoring he is making a slow but steady recovery.
We've had a few scares but believe he is on the fast track to good health.

He seems to be very happy.
Still not eating or drinking on his own but he's packing on the grams and getting stronger everyday.
He has less trouble breathing and has begun to show his strength by fighting me every time I try to feed or water him!
Thank you so much to everyone who has been with us through this whole ordeal and I hope we have nothing but good news to share with you in the future!

Oh, YAY!!! I'm so glad he's still fighting through.

Recovery can take a really long time...it's just the way it is. Keep pushing forward. It seems to be working.

This is so far past a rehab of a sick Cham. The two of you have put your heart and soul into saving this Cham. I am amazed at what you have achieved in such a small amount of time. From all of us on the forum, thanks for showing us what love and dedication can do for a Cham. We all see so many unsuccessful efforts to work with a sick Cham, this thread has restored my faith in all we can do when we really try.
