thanks, kim

How small do you mean when you say small? I have a male at almost 6months old and he is about 5-6inches snout to vent.

i will hapily answer and more questions and i know im not perfect in every thing i do for him but i do my best with limited resorses in diet i can get a hold of and heat can be aquward at time when its cold in my house but i wudnt have thought that will affect him.
i am very greatfull for any help you can give me

He should be eating WAY more. At that age my guys would eat 15 crickets a day and then a couple of worms. Not sure about ALL those lights you have....but 100 watt of anything sounds to hot for a glass cage.

You need 3 different supplements....just plain calcium, calcium with D3 and a multi. vit. dust. Gutload with green vegtables. Below is a link to a blog that was very helpful to me:

your right 100watt is way too hot for a glass tank but i did also state that it is attached to a dimmer to control the temp. we only give him 4 a day because he wont eat more than that and end up having loads running in the bottom of the vivarium, should i just give him more any way? i will buy some more supplements, i didnt realize i needed so many. how often would you dust with these supplements?

Use plain calcium at just about every feeding. Calcium with D3 twice a month and a multivitamin such as Rep-Cal Herptivite once a month.....maybe twice a month the first month. Just lightly dust.....don't make your feeders look like ghost. Can you get any other feeders beside crickets? Maybe he doesn't like crickets.

are you sure he is 9 months old? my boy is also 9 months old. he is about 2 times bigger.

To make sure he will not eat any more than 4 crickets just cut a milk jug or some kind of plastic cup shaped thing that is high enough the crickets cant jump out and just place that in his cage....he will be fishing out of a bucket and the crickets cant go anywhere. Well that what i do and it works for me, my guy is 6 months old and eat anywhere from 12-20 crickets a day

i can get a hold of meal worms but he doesnt eat them at all. wax worms which he like and locusts which id say at the moment are far to big for him. half the week i cant even get a hold of crickets because there is only 1 shop in a 40 mile radius that sels them. and when it is too cold they dont get any because its to cold to put them in a van. i will start with the other vitamins and good web site i cud buy them from? and the plastic tub will now be a permanent fixture in his tank to monitor his feeding. he is def at least 9 months old because we have had him since july last year. i guess im guilty of being one of those ppl who thought i knew enought but didnt. i will keep you updated on his progress and any more tips will be appreciated. thanks for the tips so far

Don't know if they ship overseas but I get silkworms, hornworms and phoenix worms at www.coastalsilkworms.com. Maybe some of the UK members will step in here. Phoenix worms would be excellent for him......high in calcium and they're small.
