Was digging but now not??

Hi there. Just wondering how things are going with your girl.
Hi,
Still no eggs! I speak with her vet every couple days, but we've not stepped in with surgery yet. She is still eating small amounts, drinking and pooping so we're doing our best to be patient and let nature take its course. Just monitoring her daily. A hole that I poked in the sand is looking to have been disturbed today, so we're praying she's starting to explore laying locations again. Fingers crossed cos this is flipping stressful! 🤞

Still no eggs!!! Seriously, how ling can this go on? She's now pitch black and sounding more time half way down her viv rather than at the top. Pretty sure there has been more digging too. Only disturbing once a day for feeding. But it's so hard not to check on her more often!

You are not alone. I’m going through a similar process with my girl. I’m on day 59 since my girl first showed her receptive colors and was looking for a mate. She now has eggs and I’m also waiting and ‘watching’. Any signs of distress? Lethargy? Closed and/or sunken eyes?

@MissSkittles what do you think?

Ours hasn't been mated, so we don't technically know when this started. But she was fat and digging end June, stopped digging 1st week of July, then a month later she's huge, black and digging again! She's eating small amounts, drinking, eyes are still proud. Just a waiting game I hope.

I really don’t like that she’s starting to dig and then stops. I’m really fearful that she’s fully eggbound and think a return visit to the vet is best.
If she stops again like she did before, then I will definitely take her back in. Just very aware that will result in surgery, which is a huge risk and unlikely she'll survive. I've done everything i can to help her so really hoping patience and privacy see her through. I don't want to loose her

Woken up today to find still no eggs and now she's shedding! As if my poor girl isn't stressed enough 😒 Again though, she has eaten and drank small amounts and has pooped some time in the last 24hrs.

Skin shed complete. Still eating etc, actually seems rather hungry today. But still no eggs. This seems never ending!! At what stage do I have to seriously consider surgery?

I wouldn't rely on an analog thermometer to measure the temps, especially in a glass enclosure like this. The temps could be way different than what's showing up on the dial. I would use digital or a laser thermometer for a more accurate reading. While she could be gravid, she could also be overheated and trying to dig her way out of the enclosure to escape those temps.

Hi, im not sure if uve seen the whole thread as this is becoming a long one! message #19 in this thread shows I've already upgraded to a digital combined thermometer/hygrometer. And post #39 shows an xray, she's definitely carrying lots of eggs.

Hiya, she's covered up atm but when I feed her tomorrow morning I'll take some pics. She's active, no signs of reduced mobility. Eyes are still proud. Feaces was good today, urate was white and healthy. And she was quite light in colour earlier today, as opposed to very dark as she's been more often recently. She is showing a yellow colour inside her mouth but her vet said that could be liver issues caused by the eggs?
