If she stops again like she did before, then I will definitely take her back in. Just very aware that will result in surgery, which is a huge risk and unlikely she'll survive. I've done everything i can to help her so really hoping patience and privacy see her through. I don't want to loose herI really don’t like that she’s starting to dig and then stops. I’m really fearful that she’s fully eggbound and think a return visit to the vet is best.
Can you share some pictures of how she currently looks?Skin shed complete. Still eating etc, actually seems rather hungry today. But still no eggs. This seems never ending!! At what stage do I have to seriously consider surgery?
Hi, im not sure if uve seen the whole thread as this is becoming a long one! message #19 in this thread shows I've already upgraded to a digital combined thermometer/hygrometer. And post #39 shows an xray, she's definitely carrying lots of eggs.I wouldn't rely on an analog thermometer to measure the temps, especially in a glass enclosure like this. The temps could be way different than what's showing up on the dial. I would use digital or a laser thermometer for a more accurate reading. While she could be gravid, she could also be overheated and trying to dig her way out of the enclosure to escape those temps.
Hiya, she's covered up atm but when I feed her tomorrow morning I'll take some pics. She's active, no signs of reduced mobility. Eyes are still proud. Feaces was good today, urate was white and healthy. And she was quite light in colour earlier today, as opposed to very dark as she's been more often recently. She is showing a yellow colour inside her mouth but her vet said that could be liver issues caused by the eggs? Can you share some pictures of how she currently looks?
