Which Cham to Buy

I'd say it depends on your intentions. I wouldn't suggest breeding the second one, but if you don't plan on breeding anyway, just get whichever one you think looks cooler.

Hybrid, or mutt, chams are a touchy subject on this forum. I myself have a beautiful hybrid panther and I couldn't be happier with my decision.

I personally was looking into the paladin offspring. Hes gorgeous. If you want to breed, then maybe go with the pure sambava...

If you plan on breeding get the Sambava.

If you want something that looks good, get the hybrid.

kinda did like el lobo but now im kinda thinking paledin. i mean im getting there offspring but i really think that plaedins will probably come out better looking. not planning on breeding, just looking for a nice pet, so im leading towards the morph but still not decided. (do morphs have a history of problems) is there anything wrong with them?

I don't think you'll have any problems with either of them, I was just offering my opinion.

The biggest issue with Morphs is their unpredictability in the looks department. It may be beautiful, I've seen some that aren't. (I know, some would argue that there is no such thing as a bad looking chameleon.. which is true, but that said, some look better than others).

There is a reasonable amount of predictability of what the Sambava baby may turn into, though not necessarily the spitting image of its father..

There is no telling what the hybrid will turn out like. You may consider that a good thing!

One thing to consider is that the hybrid will most likely color up faster than the sambava, which have a reputation for being slow to reach full coloration.

I don't think there's anything wrong with them, they're still the same exact species. I think you will get a very unique-looking animal if you decide to go with the cross. So since you're not breeding, that's what I would get.

Like everyone else said, morphs shouldnt have problems becuase they are not really hybrids, they are just different locales. Kinda like breeding a dog of the same species from california to one from new york is a semi accurate comparison.

alright guys looks like im getting one of paledins male offspring. might be a few weeks but will post pics when he arrives! i cant wait! lol
