The basking temps! Shocking! Are they trying to keep him alive or cook him?!

DING DING DING WE HAVE A WINNER!
we would of also excepted humidity should be high but u got the major death sentence :) I crossed it out with a sharpy and put 79-82.

Haha! Good for you! That is exactly the temp range I keep Monty in. The temps they are suggesting is a major cause for concern. Poor Jackson. How did he look?

He looks great. He's only been there a week. I don't own a Jackson but have been researching them vigorously cause those horns are attracting the heck out of me. They do mist him frequently. His temps arnt that high now (that's veiled/panther temps) but the new owner needs to know thats wrong. He's healthy lookin climbing briskly during my daily visit... Drool fest... And I applied one of my chameleonforums.com stickers to his tag ;)

Brilliant! Jacksons are amazing! I wanted once since I got my first Veiled back in 2008! Monty is by far living up to my expectations so far! :D Two months is a little young for a Jackson to be sold really. They can be tricky to keep alive until they get to 4-5 months. I got Monty at 7 weeks old, but that was only because my friend's female had babies and she new that he would be well cared for. The rest of the clutch went to new homes at about 4 months I think. Once they reached 5 months of age we all breathed a huge sigh of relief!

I could be off on my aging but it looked smaller than my 2 month old veiled when I got him. Maybe if I get to go there today after work ilk snap some pics and title the thread miss lily. I'm sure someone will snatch him before I'm up and running with the most difficult factor.. wife permission.. :( I think ive used up all my "but babe! Look how sad he is! Just one more babe just one more" I'm at 7 reptiles now ;)

Well it is easier to ask for forgiveness then Permission. Lol. And no.. she's never liked the snakes. Thinks the turtles are dumb looks at one of the leopard geckos somtimes and loved my veiled till he turned into a monster lol. and I think shell see the new cage going up :p.
She has and likes chickens.. that I take care of. She takes care of our two long haired weiner dogs.. we share that love :)

hopefully not too much research, with just a few people on here, you can find out all you need to know :)

My technique is to text ' I'm so sorry, went a bit crazy today, things have been so tough lately, I'm really sorry.' and by the time he's freaked himself out, he's relieved it's just an additional reptile! Works best if you have a dodgy history!

Lol ur method works but I be the man In this relationship :;)

I saw a Jackson in Petsmart the other day and it was 100 degrees, he was in a glass enclosure, had a bowl of water, and his mouth was open. I told them that the temp was too high in there. I went back last night...it was 80 degrees and he was sleeping on the bottom with his head rested on a branch. Poor thing
:(

right! one of my dreams is to run an all reptile store here locally..so ive been doing research on every herp imaginable :)

We share that dream :) for the past 3 years I've been assembling my own care guides on different species excluding breeding info. I've got about six 3 ring binders full and 17 of my favorite species covered... I have years of work ahead of me :) its a side hobby. Herps being number one. Creating my care guides. Tuning cars and RC cars ;)

So I asked her.. I was gonna post her response here but due to it being 80% explicit content ill sum it up with.. NO! ... :( little does she know the battle had just begun
