yemen chameleon care

I bought a Yemen Chameleon about 2 months ago she was only 6-8 weeks old (roughly) when i bought her. She was in a mesh cage for about 2 months and iv just changed her over to a larger viv that will be suitable for her to live in now, as the mesh cage was getting too small (shes growing quikly) she suddenly went a dull dark greenish/brown colour. I think it was moving her over she got very stressed. I moved her over a week ago now and she does seem a little better then she was seems to be lightening up her colour abit now and exploring her new viv. Shes still eating normal and drinking normal. I think seeing herself in the glass reflection might of stressed her out so to partly solve that problem i have stuck some vines on the glass so she cant see her reflection too much.
Also she seems to be coming to the glass alot wanting to be help everytime i go to the viv she comes to the glass and i open the door and she comes straight out its like she wants to be held and she dosnt like her home.
Is there anything i can do so she will be more comfortable in her new home?
Thanks

Hi there and welcome to the forum!
I'm attaching some info for you on general veiled care
https://www.chameleonforums.com/blo...-keepers-young-veiled-panther-chameleons.html

And also some on keeping females as they have special needs for egg laying

I would like to ask you about ventilation in her new enclosure please? Does it have any mesh panels? Pictures of her set up would be helpful too.

Angie :)

I realise it may be a bit of a pain since you'll have to repeat some of your first post, but would you mind filling out the standard form and including some pics if possible:

Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?
Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?
Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?
Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?

Welcome to the Chameleon Forums. This is a great place to learn about chameleons. I keep veileds along with a couple of other species and I've had females before. In fact I have a female veiled now named Sadie. She is just so sweet and has the best personality. I have a few blogs attached for you below to help you keep your little girl health and happy. The first is about general care with a special link for females. The second is about egg laying and the laying bin. Girls can and often do lay eggs without a male even being around. The third is a video about the laying bin by our senior mender Dez.
