As long as he's still eating, I don't see any problem with it. Sometimes moving around places too much can be very stressful, but if it doesn't seem to bother him then it should be fine. It will also probably help with him being more social and coming out of the cage. Only thing I can think of...
Looks like it might be a good idea to add sprigtails/isopods in there and have the breeding bin be bioactive, to reduce the need for cleaning. What do you think? Does snail casting build up?
Never used it but milkweed is certainly very toxic, and even with the sunflower seeds I'm not sure that the bugs wouldn't have something in them that was toxic. (Like whatever allows them to eat milkweed). They're known to taste pretty bad, although I don't know about chameleons and their...
3 yr old male panther, been in my care since he was 2 months old
He loves to come out daily. Wants to walk onto my hand. I let him walk around a bit, he has sticks he can climb up at the window to look outside. In summer, he goes out and climbs on tree and trellis. Limit out of cage time to...
It's tough, because there's a range of sizes/color development that are normal for each age, and those ranges tend to be pretty wide. Usually size is the indicator, but like you said, sometimes they just don't eat as much and grow a little slower, or eat a ton and grow really fast.
What are you giving him in terms of supplementation? Weak grip is most often related to calcium deficiency. Vitamins twice a week is way too much, and I don't think that a vitamin deficiency would cause weakness of grip. He should be getting calcium powder without d3 every feeding, calcium with...
The wash of the eye probably didn't cause the infection. It was more likely that the infection was there but mild, and the wash didn't completely get rid of it, and he was scratching it more until you were able to see the infection. And the infection was possibly concealing whatever this nodule...
Expos are great, but you have to be very sure to get every bit of information about the breeder and the cham itself. Emails, phone numbers, lineage, guarantees, everything.
There are plenty of ways he could have known that reptileguy was experienced. First indicator being the senior member tag, although that's certainly not conclusive. Also, if the original post had been read more carefully, TheEricJ would see that most of what he commented on had already been...
LOL I would think the "senior member" would have been an indication. This made me smile. Also pretty much everything that he 'corrected' was already addressed in your first couple of posts.
Annnnnyyyway, that's really cool. I like the curtain effect, and I may have to try it myself after I...
Not nearly big enough for a stitch. We're talking smallest size butterfly bandage. It's just since it's on his tail, it won't stay closed for very long. Thanks for the info!
