Okay, So amaro does have parasites. They gave me a call that he does have parasites but the front desk lady didn't specify, as the vet was in surgery. The vet will give me a call in an hour or two to tell me what he's got. While I wait I wanted to get ahead of the game to fully clean sanitize his cage. Is there any way I can salvage my plants? I cant get any more live plants for a little while, and I only have fake plants for replacement, and amaro loves eating plants.

He is still eating and drinking fine, so i'm not too concerned yet.

I suppose i'm a little impatient, just worried it'll get out of hand. He's right next to my reptile shelf, I don't want them to get parasites. That would be a nightmare lol.

We'll thats why i'm freaking out, I have two beardies right next to his cage. They naturally carry small counts of coccidia. I always wash my hand between animals, but who knows.

Don't freak out yet. Wait until they tell you what it is before you go toss anything or clean anything. Depending on what it is there are different methods for cleaning. Pins are easy to clean for and you can pretty much clean everything to get rid of them. I would toss fake vines though because they don't scrub well.

Well I just discovered something. Amaro wont hand feed, but if I put a cricket on the screen and go sit down, he comes out and gets it. Maybe I wont have to force him to get the medicine.

Okay so it is coccidia. The vet didn't call , I just called the front desk and they asked her. She'll call around 5pm (3 hours from now) with specifics. Should I wait to hear if it was high or low counts, or start cleaning stuff?

I can't speak from any experience, but if it were me I would start stripping and cleaning. There are many threads on this site about coccidia, i would look at a few of them.
