Freak Accident!!!!!!!! Need Help!!

Okay Thanks Laurie! :) She ate it up pretty well last night...and man did she have a mouth grip on my Syringe! I wouldnt want to get bit my her!

I would stay with the bug juice, chameleons are insectivores not carnivores. The bug juice is cloister to natural for her. jmo

You are doing a wonderful job with her. I think you will both make it through this.

Picture Update

Okay here's a few pics from today...how do you guys think she looks?? I see her everyday so it's hard for me to tell how she really looks?! Anyways, here's a few pics..her mouth has a little bruising from me trying to medicate her...Ehhh, I've found a better technique than just forcing the syringe between her teeth ::HORRABLE:: techinque if I can call it that...For those of you who have a chameleon that fights you to put meds in there mouth...I suggest using a business card and lightly open the mouth..It's super easy and less stressfull "I Think So Anyways" Anyways...here's the Pics! Ohh and a for warning the "HUGE" Lump by her right rear leg is her fluid pocket..hehe, didnt want anyone to freak out on me!

Okay Here We Go!!!!

i cryd when i read all this, then went and told goonie howmuch i love him <3 i hope your baby makes a great recovery and that she lives a long healthy life, bless her soul! the poor lil gal hasta work now since she cant just snipe up her prey :(

Be careful not to injure her mouth when you are trying to open it...you may end up with mouth rot if you do. Also...if you make her mouth sore you will have more trouble trying to get her to eat.

yeah.. :( thats why I've been using the business card..it's quick and verry easy! Less Stress on us both! Any time I'm working with her I try to stay very positive..and not stress, it just makes it more fusterating, and I'm sure she can feel that..as do all animals...one step process is always good for me.

I'm kind of upset..I went outside to check on Izzie...I took a close look and her eyes are a tad bit sunken.. :( I have the misters going...I'm going to keep them on for a while...Before that I gave her some "Bug Juice" to get something into her...She had a Urate but no poop..so that basically states she hasnt tried to get any of the feeders in the bowl I left for her...I gave her some Sub-Q Fluids...I hope this works..I'll give her some more Bug Juice in about 30 min..if you have any suggestions on what I should do let me know...

Okay I just turned off my misters...Shes currently focused on a few roaches that are in the top corner of the cage...So thats a plus..I'm going to spy onher and see if she go's for them!?

Eliza: Yes I did..hopefully she will try for something soon..I'm not so much worried about her hydration factor..since i can turn my misters on when ever..and I know she's drinking, plus her Sub-Q Fluids..I just want her to eat!! Ahh..this is driving me nuts..luckily I'm home today and tomorrow full time, so I can really watch over her.

Did you try crippling a couple of crickets so they can't hop and free ranging them?

A Pinky..lol I wiish I had some Silkies...I tried to order some, but there all out!!! If anyone in the Ventura County Area "So Cal" has any silkies or horns they can spare.."a few" that would be awesome!! PM Me if you do..

Also..has anyone used appetite plus from "Nature Zone" I have some I've never used..I was thinking about giving her some..maybe it will help??

I know this looks gross but maybe you can try this with a silk worm?

Tube Feeding

Just a thought..has anyone here ever tube fed a cham?? One of the girls I work with, rehabed a Monitor...that was on the verge on death..seriously lifeless..y her doing so saved his life. She had to tube feed him for a while, but I was just curious if anyone has every tube fed a cham?? And would if be safe to do so?? let me know what you guys think??

Okay...So0o I've been working on my 2nd Batch of "Bug Juice" trying to make it more "Bug-ier" than anything...also being able to smoosh them enough so they will fit through the syringe! Ahh..and I have a 60ml syg...had to call the husband to help smooshing them...Anyways, I've added LR in it, vitamins, Cal. Glucionate, Egg Yolk..and as many smooshed bugs as we could...I've given her a little bit about 3 times now..and she seems to be eating/drinking it well..hopefully this will help her ALOT :) I've had my misters running more frequent and longer since she seems a little dehydrated, the other chams seem to like it to....I'm going to continue giving her a small amount of the Bug Juice through out the night....and keep her up later so she's able to get more nutrients into her body...Tomorrow I will continue giving her small amounts of Bug Juice every 3-4 hours....let me know what you guys think?? Do you think this will be over load for her?? Ehh....trying to figure out what she can handle she weighed in at 80 Grams last Friday...and now since she's gravid I've added the Cal. Glucionate....to make sure everything go's okay with her laying....Damn this couldnt come at a WORSE time...............UGGGGH
