Trying to show the difference in her eyes. Her left one is kind of shriveled and sunken along with not completely opening.

Thank you! I've just grown very attached to her and want the best. I'm very upset about the entire vet situation and with her eye, then the day sleeing, and having to inject insects has me on the verge of a melt down lol.Eyes can take a while. Chameleons are very specifically evolved to pretty much rely solely on their sense of eyesight so their eye structure is very complicated. Depending on what got injured it could take a few weeks to heal. And it's good she's eating again, she was probably just stressed from the vet visit. And yes shedding is not fun, think of it like having a period for a chameleon. They get uncomfortable, itchy, cranky, often go off food.
Thank you! The worst part is he's the only one. I'll mist her with warm water to comfort her. I will say she had a beautiful bright green under her that I love!God he did a number on her, definitely get another vet next time if you can, either that or don't be afraid to speak up about the way he's treating her. I would heavily misted her to make the shedding process easier. Maybe even give her a warm shower, that often relieves a lot of the uncomfortableness and could help with her eyes
My horse does the same thing....has his spot. Makes mucking a breeze!poop spot LOL I have 2 chams that does the same , I put a small piece of paper towel under there SPOT just so I can clean every other day , my male poops about half hour after I turn lights on every morning and I mean every morning same time same place LOL
She seen the worms. She went over and watched them she just never made a move. With the crickets she is like a stealthy, master huntress lol.
Are not almost all reptiles born with parasites?
if my vet treated my chams that way oooooh the vet would hear a mouth full, I treat them like my kids ,, old saying you hurt my kids I hurt you !!!God he did a number on her, definitely get another vet next time if you can, either that or don't be afraid to speak up about the way he's treating her. I would heavily misted her to make the shedding process easier. Maybe even give her a warm shower, that often relieves a lot of the uncomfortableness and could help with her eyes
That's what I meant lol! I also learnt that from here.Their windpipe is not at the back of their mouth, it's near the front under their tongue.
I live in Harrisburg, Arkansas. Jonesboro is the biggest area and closest too me. I have super worms in her cage as well in a bowl and she ignores them too. It took her about a week to shed and I thought she might come out of her slump from the vet, to shedding, and being wormer for five days but she hasn't.Have you tried a different feeder? She may need something else to entice her since she doesn't feel good. You also may want to consider taking her back to the vet, though I would try and find a different one. Where do you live? Maybe someone on the forum has a recommendation.
The worms are gone. I haven't seen anymore, but her appetite still hasn't fully returned and she naps a couple of times a day. I have noticed that some of the napping was her only having that one eye shut but the other was open so she wasn't actually napping but she does nap. Also today her eyes look a little dark and she kind of sucks the injured one in and out at times. Her poop is good, her urates are white, and I've watched her eat at least one cricket a day. Is it possible that besides from the get hurting her eye that the wormer made her sick and it's just taking a while to leave her system? How are her worms? Are they gone? what were they?
