New Veiled Chameleon

everyone here knows what they are talking about. ive been referencing here for years, ever since my first chameleon. although i dont agree with the idea of kids getting chameleons, i myself got mine at 15 and have had it for a few years, you jumped in and now have to ride with it.

best of wishes

Like what type of problems? He hadn't had UVB at all for quite some time (does he have the light yet?) and not enough calcium supplimentation. He could be developing MBD. Has it gotten progressively worse? There is a lot of info about calcium deficiencies in the links to general care guides.
If your mom isn't going to/isn't able to pay to change his set up and for more feeders it might be a better idea to sell the chameleon to someone else. I don't mean that in a harsh way. Perhaps it would be better to wait until you are old enough to drive and have an income so there will be no question that he is well cared for.

Hello

Pretty little chameleon, but I think in the terrarium plants are a little more. He can hide if He is too stressful

(I hope you know what I mean because the text was written with google translator)

I agree with dagy, if you can't get these things he really needs (like UVB, food and supplements) it would be best for you and him to find some one who can.

the trouble climbing could be many things, along with correcting the things that have been pointed out he needs to see a vet

Sounds to me like you love the idea of a chameleon, you don't stress too much when it seems to be sick and you have none of the right equipment to keep a cham or the slightest bit of knowledge how to, you just casually mentioning the symptom it is showing isn't helping your case. AT LEAST you are asking help but if you do nothing with the advice that puts us back to square one.

You are going to have to change your casual attitude towards your pet, its life depends on you and your ability to reason with your mom and take her last $50 each month(which is ridiculous btw). She allowed you to get one so she also has responsibility towards it.

Also on this note of you loving it to much to find it a better home, it seems to me you have been given the tools to become an expert at keeping a cham and yet i doubt you have been reading the links provided, its hard for me to understand because I own one Chameleon, my third one, and I also went into keeping one kind of too fast but within 2 days I had read up so much on it I could right my own book. Within two weeks I started breeding feeders for it and I was on my second cage just to get it perfect.

If you really love your chameleon you should start taking an interest in it or better yet find it a nice rich owner with lots of time, until you have matured and stumbled upon a sense of responsibility...

I could be nicer but i'm getting the message across and thats what matters.

What kind of UVB and what kind of supplements? Please remove the dirt stuff(substrate) you have at the bottom.

So that would be a compact bulb-do you know what brand? Also-veggies and fruits are gutload-that is what you would feed your crickets. Supplements are calcium powder and multivitamin powder that you lightly dust the crickets with. You do not need anything for substrate-you can leave the cage bottom bare glass, that way you can wipe up water and poop with a papertowel.

ihave a 26 watt 5.0 and i am using fruits and veggies and what should i use for substrate

I'm glad you got a uvb bulb, fruits and veggies are gut load as said before, just make sure they are the right kind (such as collard greens, mustard greens, kale , carrots, bell peepers (not hot peepers), oranges, there are more safe ones you can use just check the links about gut loading posted before) make sure you wash (with plan water) any veggies/fruits before you give them to the crickets, also change them out regularly so they don't get mold.

Supplements as stated should be calcium with out D3 about 6 days a week (such as repti calcium with out D3. It has a blue label) , calcium With D3 about 2 times a month (such as repti calcium With D3. It has a green label), multi vitamin (such as herptivite) 2 times a month.

If you can't find calcium with out D3 at the pet store have your mom order it online at http://lllreptile.com/store/catalog...d-cage-cleaners/reptile-calcium-and-vitamins/
Scroll down at you should find all the supplements you need
