New Veiled Chameleon

cause i was going to get a adult femala and they said that she was gravid but since i was new i didnt want to get her

Yes bare bottom, clean up poop and water daily, get him out and clean the whole cage about once a week (with light soap and warm water, rinse WELL)

If it is a female it will need a egg laying ben but not until it's older (I think 5-6 months at the earliest) by that time it will need a bigger cage too. Is yours male or female? If you don't know post some pics of the back feet and some one should beable to tell you (curled males have little "spurs")

It is a girl somewhere under 2 months old. Live plants and misting a few times daily will keep the humidity up. You will not need an egg laying bin for another few months.

You just use a flower pot or bucket that is at least 10" around and 10" deep. You can fill with organic earth or that stuff you had in the bottom of the cage mixed with sand.

so my cham is a girl and do they lay eggs without mate

yes they can lay eggs without mating. Not every female will lay but alot of them do and you have to be prepared just in case. If she does not have a place to lay her eggs she will become eggbound and you will have to take her to a vet or she will die.

Andrew if you don't mind my asking, how old are you? Be honest please. Your cage on page 7 does not look any different. You did not remove the dirt in the bottom or whatever it is like we told you. The UVB light you bought, can you show me a picture of the box so I can make sure you got the right one? It would be better if you got a screen cage and put more vines, branhes and plants like we suggested to you.
