What the heck is this? Sorry my pics are bad but you can see what I am talking about.

I am pretty sure its a male... JK I know, Kinda hard to miss huge bulge.

Sperm Plugs? Should I try to remove them? Leave Alone ?

Those are sperm plugs. My veterinarian gently squeezed the area and when the plug showed it's nasty head he gently pulled it out. If it seems to be attached, wet the area and try again. Don't yank. Usually they can clear them themselves when they poop, but sometimes not. You could wait another day, maybe give him a shower to really hydrate him and it might make it easier for him to pass them.

Howdy Ryan,

Sperm plugs are usually are expelled on their own. If you feel the "need" to attempt to remove them, I suggest just lightly pulling on each one until they slide out. I removed one a few weeks ago from my Veiled. It took a little more tension on the pull than I expected, but it came right out with no side effects.

For the rest of the keepers out there who haven't dealt with a chameleon sperm plug, you won't necessarily run into this issue very often, if ever .

Thanks Dave and BocaJan

I will give it a day to see what happens.

Another observation I have made with this Particular Panther. Is his poop is a little off in regards to amount. I find it on the bottom of the cage in small amounts. Looks good white/brown but it seams to be to small for his size. I have a female his age that her poops are about 3 times bigger. They eat just about the same amount right now. It could be that it dries out before I get a chance to see it. That seems to happen on the cages I have paper towels in.

Could that be related or am I being to observant. :)

He has them he just hasn't had them get stuck. So you probably just havn't seen them. They drop them with their poop,

Just in case anyone refers to this post in the future. I wanted to let everyone know that the Sperm Plugs were pretty much taken care of when he pooped. One was hanging a little and I was able to easily pull it out the rest of the way.
