Finally got myself a CB Uroplatus. This came from LLL for $90.

As far as I can see he looks good, he is surprisingly friendly except for the 'lil nip he gave Darci's sister.

Here are some pictures.

Right now the setup is a bit bland, but I'll get some.

Oh for some reason it won't let me edit that post again, wonder if posting is working. D:

Anyways, there's the set up, the suction cups keep falling, anyone know a good way to make them stick?

superglue?
Amazingly 'woody' looking little bloke isnt he. Maybe add something similar looking for him to hide on. (bark) :)

Would superglue fumes potentially affect the gecko?

There is a piece of corkbark towards the back (you might see it in the bottom left corner).

Dries in seconds, I wouldnt think so , no, but I was kidding. New suction cup maybe, after a while they suck. (or rather, they dont! LOl )

These are brand new suction cups *le gasp*.

Looks like I'll be doing some research on food-grade adhesives.. LMFAO

Hot glue.

We were actually going to use that last night, but the kind we have is giving off this really pungent odor. Probably going to go to Micheal's sometime this week to get a different brand. Can you suggest another brand or would the smell really not matter? Thanks Brad.

This morning I woke up and couldn't find him, he was on the cork bark. He jumped at me right when I finally found him but it still scared me!

RE suction cups - I've used cooking oil (e.g. canola) with very good effect. Rub it around the edge of the cup with your finger. You might have to slide it a bit to get it to stick, and clean up a little smear, but should be safe. Congrats on the gecko; I love his feet!

Actually the ones in my frog tank tend to do the same, I find 10 mins in really hot water, softens them up and they stick well again. worth a try if you dont want them permanently in place. :)

Thanks for the suggestions! I will try the hot water first and then use the oil. Hopefully something will work! :)

Beautiful Sabrina! Congrats on the finding them CB.

Keep me posted on how he does.

Luis

Yes, me too. I have been keeping 2 pairs of them for quite a while now and they are so sweet. You will be happy with this little guy. And yes, I, too am happy that you could get a CB one. Luis, you and I realy need to get on the stick. :D

Congrats on finding a nice, healthy CB sikorae!

I'm sure you know this, but get some more vertical surfaces in there (cork bark, bamboo, etc). Also, keep your temps on the lower end for them. You'll likely see the little guy a lot more active in mid 60's.
