I had my first veiled hatch last night! I have her little baby habitat set up but she seems to spend most of her time sleeping. She'll wander around a little, but mostly with her eyes closed. I haven't seen her eat or drink yet. I know it sometimes takes a day or two for them to start...
I play metal also. 1 man band here. I play a Schecter guitar and Steinberger bass. www.myspace.com/alexfromhell
PS for Cain Should be finishing up the vocals on the last tracks of album 6 this weekend. I'll get you a copy when I'm happy with it. ;)
I think it would depend on what your humidity is during the day. It's hot as hell here in the summer and the AC sucks out the humidity during the day. I rebolster it at night by running the humidifier. I gets up around 70%.
I have 8, 3 panther and 5 veiled adults. I order 2000 3/4" from LLL about every 3-4 weeks, depending on other food items on hand like silkies and superworms.
This is from a post by Gesang. I'm having trouble getting the link to copy. Search for the link "how do breeders do it?"
In the adult breeding container, are you placing a separate egg laying container, or do you have the adults laying there eggs in a substrate? If they are laying in a...
You may be able to do it if there was partial shade. Houston is humid enough, but it's pretty damn hot in the summer, just like here. And I probably would only do veileds that are a little more tolerant of extremes.
My first thought was FREE mezcal?!?! Cool! But do you eat the worm?
The program is similar to the one I found at thegeckocam.com. I've been using it for months and it works quite well for general info. Nothing as cool as Weldon's weight graphs or anything, though...
Ha ha Juli, BUSTED!!!!
Glad to hear she's doing better. That is super weird. Maybe you've got one that is a super deep sleeper. You know, some call sleep "small death".
Sure, you don't have to feed them roaches. Just mix up the other feeders so they don't get bored with one type of food.
One of the reasons people like roaches is they are the easiest to breed. They just kind of do it regardless. No eggs, no incubation, just every once in a while when you...
I vote for head shed as well. I've seen these type of posts every once in a while and that is the case. I think it would be a very unique genetic anomoly where only the head went albino on you.
Give it a couple weeks and I bet it sloughs off the skin.
