simply sounds like youre trying too hard.. as far as im aware killing a ficus without destroying the roots is nearly impossible, ill leave em out into subfreezing temperatures and as long as it isnt prolonged thye bounce back all bushy and small.
hibiscus is a different story. pop the buds...
anyone been paying attention to e3 so far? i didnt realize it had started till a couple hours ago, ive been reviewing the stuff thats been released online.
one thing im excited about simcity/ simcity social. i was a huge simcity 2000 junkie, they they just kind of ruined it by trying too...
wowhead here, canceled my subscription a couple months back, just dont have the time to progress in endgame content, and they have made lvling so easy, mundane and obsolete. plus my pvp guild disbanded and i got sick of pugs for rated, not on the best of servers for pvp.
it has its ups and...
SOLID!
not funny, and im not literally afraid of them they just send shivers down my spine, and set off a minor gag reflex.
i was hoping for more responses while i was gone, guess i need to make sure i stick around for versus threads to keep them going.
ligers dont count in this debate...
get the walgreens one from jdogs vid. i think its only $40 online and i believe orders over $25 have free shipping. i bought mine in store for $50 because i was impatient. if you look at the reviews online a lot of people complain about too much mist output :) thats ideal for us cham keepers.
save yourself some time and stress.
run a hose to a float switch in a resivoir for you mist/fog.
have your cage drain to a basin that pumps it into your drainage (plumbing) or dispose of it yourself.
unless you have some serious RO filtration system hooked up (not just charcoal or...
smilodon vs arctodus
more specifically
Arctotherium augustidens vs Smilodon populator
choosing to not participate in this vs thread automatically brands you as a sissy. so dont be a sissy. who wins? and you dont have to know anything just choose one or the other.
while i agree this will minimize stress for the short term it will prolong the stress.
think of it this way a little stress for a long time or a lot of stress for the short term. organisms no matter how dumb have this innate ability called conditioning. though he may be hardwired...
he looks great to me. hopefully he keeps eating fine. dont want a cham with stunted growth :P
try putting his feeders in a cup in the cage. he may not like hunting around the bottom.
another nice thing about screen cages is the feeders climb it.
later, good luck
oh and the other things....and someone said something about the 10.0s youll be just fine with that. ive always used 10.0s as my chameleons never activly hang out in the areas of the cage that get full exposure from the uvb and much of it is filtered by the foliage.
from what i understand the...
OH NO! not the waterfall again!
the fogger should help greatly with the humidity....however the waterfall will need to be cleaned very very frequently. it will turn into a cesspool in no time flat without regualr cleanings.
the exoterra hygrometers in my experience are crap.
if you have that...
depends on what you have.
i used to keep most of my adult veileds and panthers outdoors all summer, except for during hot spells.
if you can have a cool mist from a hose running on a small portion of your cage that will help them thermoregulate in the heat of the day. since theyre stuck where...
linoleum, good. im paranoid about wet wood. but many others do just fine with wood enclosures.
well if you water as much as most of us do youre going to end up with puddles in the bottom. but considering the set up you have going on you could easily drill a couple holes in the bottom and put a...
YAY!
we did our bbq yesterday,
beer brats potatosalad pool badminton and bonfires.
good day.
pooped green this morning though........ im kind of concerned.......
nice, so what are uou doing with the drainage pump? setting it to a timer?
i could see that being just as effective as a float switch if you spend the time to figure out when all the water has drained into the basin from waterings and how long it needs to run to empty it out.
he said exactly what i would have. its a pretty hefty ceramic fixture but it should still be making contact. it really sounds like its not going in deep enough
(insert made in china joke here)
if its anything like my fixtures the sockets should be interchangable with most hoods/domes...
*COUGHsomeofyouseemveryparanoidCOUGH*
youd would have to have a cham with a preexisting condition for such a short period of time to effect them detrimentally
just do what i said. trust me. even thats more than you need to do with healthy chams.
if youre that paranoid buy a cool mist...
my grandmother (god rest her soul) would tell me about how they used to pin "chameleons" (anoles) to their dresses back in the day any time it was made mention of the fact i bred or kept chameleons. in fact i asked her were they pined them.....and the impression i got was anywhere they saw...
