Home sweet home!!!

Thanks I quite like the name too :) fits her well don't it? Sorry to for the late reply with working and being a mum and looking after a dog and a chameleon it's hard work lol. So I can definitely relate with you on that. And yes being new owners is a mission on its own ha, how is your cham?

Blue is doing pretty I think going into his third week here. I believe we are experiencing our first cricket/ super/ butter strike lol. Now that he has had @Katacara silks that's is all he touched yesterday until we got home. Oddly, he ate 3 horns last night which he hasn't touched since the very first day he arrived. So, he had 4 of her silks and 3 horns between day feeding and when we got home. The day before he only touched 4 of his crickets and none of the supers/ butters. But, he ate 2 silks that night when the new batch of silks arrived.

He's not striking at us nearly as much when we go to pick him up now either which is awesome. The last several days it's been a puff up and single swing at your hand then he lets us pick him up. When we first started it was 4 or 5 swings before he would let us pick him up for a short handling. He seems to like me using tongs and putting worms on his vines rather then my hand for him to "hunt" them from there a lot lol. He does use his feeder box too but really seems to enjoy the evening hunts on the vines lately.

We did have a "pesky worried parent" (my terms not Matt's btw lol) moment earlier this week where we were concerned when we got home. Blue had gone to a color scheme we had not seen him in yet and it kind of freaked us out lol. So naturally I was seeking @Matt Vanilla Gorilla advise/ thoughts like a crazy man on a mission because we felt we had royally screwed the pooch some where. But, all is well and we are pretty confident it was him saying he is ready for his "winter" temps and possibly getting ready for a shed on top of that. I am so happy we were able to go through Matt for our first baby because he has definitely been there for us like he said he would be, there is no doubt about that!!!

It most certainty does!!! Not a problem think it's taken me longer so fair is fair ;) it can be scary to though the not knowing that's part of life joy and you can always get educated. He's settling in don't think he likes where the mister is at so we're fixing that. Learning is essential he finds different spots to sleep also it's cute to watch him wander his cage. He can be a picky eater but we all can be that way lol and he's getting better with us handling him. I'm usually out of the room when @dshuld feeds him  however if I don't eat myself I get hangry I'll be able to watch this weekend  we were worried parent's wouldn't want anything to happen to our precious blue we love him so much. @Matt Vanilla Gorilla has been very helpful to reassure us as well he's phenomenal like that. Really happy he's enjoy the silk worms we got him from @Katacara

@Katacara worms rock:) My panther loves them too!! Bleu is his name too;) and he can be a picky fart, I find placing food in different spots around his cage helps! Like dubia he will not eat out of a cup even if they are scattering about in there, but place them on a branch near him or on the screen above and he is all over them! I find him to be much more of a worm guy overall:D He loves his butters, silks and horns especially if I place them all around for him to find, well that is if I can get them there before he snatches them up!!

Well, suspicions confirmed. Our boy is shedding for the first time with us!!!

Can't wait to see his new skin!

Me too!! Super excited to see how he turns out after this shed. Yesterday his colors for most of the day reminded me of @jannb 2012 wild nosy be pic thread. More green then blue but he was sort of a greenish blue with black bars. Sort of like #10 from this thread https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/madagascar-nosy-be-chameleons.97925/. Minus the red turret he was between this ones green and the blue he was when you sent him to us. It was really cool to see!! Every time I got close to try and take pics of those colors he went back to the blue he is in the above pics though the little stinker lol.

The Nosy Be are always green in the wild. They are breed to be blue in captivity.

I noticed that in your thread lol. Though I'm still pretty new to this so I was amazed when I saw your thread from back then a few nights ago. Then seeing him go pretty similar to #10 yesterday was amazing!!! I really wish I could've gotten a pic of him those colors. It is so fascinating laying in bed watching him do his thing.

So @Krissy83 was lucky enough to be able to stay home today(aka she worked Sat and got today off lol) and sent me some update pics through out the day so here they are in order from then til just now when I got home. I was kind of able to get 1 shot of his green just now but as soon as I opened the enclosure for a better shot he went back to blue the stinker lol. Along with a random showing his black bars and a bit of green. Poor guy didn't want his pics taken lol...he's a little embarrassed to be seen atm lmfao. Can't wait until he's finished to get a better pic :D

Lol in deed, he let me open the door and get a green pic but what I see with my eyes verse what the camera shows are two different things apparently:confused:. The pic shows more blue but my eyes see more green in it. His legs look gray in the pic but they are more greenish blue to my eyes lol...I'm losing it!!!
