No not at all. :) I was just trying to put all the pieces together. Its a hard one to call. I want to call it a male like Trace and Chris but just can't do that. At the same time I can't really call it a female either. :D

but right now..the female is roaming the cage..and he's following her head bobbing and such..got on top of her a couple times...but shes very light blue/grey color..

Gay male? jk

That leans me back to female. I would think a male or an unreceptive female would reject him thats for sure.

ha yeah I know what you mean! It's a HE/SHE how about that!?lol...Geez...how do I get these funky chams....

yeah..well after I posted this thread i was thinking twice...that it was a Ugly Male..."no pretty colors", which is what my husband and I originally thought when we got her from this guy...but he said it was a female... Anyways now..I believe its a female...but we'll see if they actually mate..and she/he/it layes eggs??

Ha yeah, I'm sure its possible..but who knows what the hell those two are thinking...Wish we could hear there thoughts..that would definatley Help!!! I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

Great Point. I didn't even think of that. Poor guy! LOL

Looking at the tail I would say female, but i think that's clear now. At first sight it looked a bit like a St marie or fenerivo panther, they are mostly white with some red and/ or blue from what i've seen. I wouldn't know else, here's a link to male st Marie's and fenerivo:

Usualy the females should always be red/brownish never seen a female like your before.

To be honest I think the evidence is strongly in the favor of being a male. The evidence for female is the generally bland coloration, no evident hemipenal bulge and not rejecting the presence of a male. To be honest though, I think each of those points can be explained simply by being a late maturing 5" SVL male. At 5" SVL, not every male is brightly colored and a late maturing male of this size may not have a prominent hemipenal bulge. Further, as Trace suggested, a smaller, immature male would often be submissive to a larger, mature male. On top of that, you have the white longitudinal stripe, quite a bit of blue coloration, and large rostral protuberances, all indicators of a male. I still say male.

here's a couple pics...tried to disturbe them..but here you go

Chris , I would agree but my problem is that the "it" was a 5" SVL 4 months or more ago. It has been 4+ months I thought that would make this chameleon at least 9 months old and probably around when "it" would be receptive.

I just don't know?

I now believe that is a very thick female, as in slightly over weight. No offense intended, she looks very healthy. I keep my females and males lean, I tend to avoid spoiling them.

She looks older than you say she is too, she is a doll though, I love her! I'm sticking to female.
