for a new owner i wouldnt build your own, its way easier to buy one and then get used to what you need. then do alot of research in the enclosure section and find out what you need to do then take your time building a good one.

way to small for your flexarium, you bought her a little to early also. rule of thumb is chams shouldnt be sold until 3 months.
How long are your misting sessions? you should be misting at least 3 times a day at 3-4minutes a time.
You also need to lower your temps, they are way to high...

that will work just the same as a paper towel, not worth the money, just use paper towels or go to the dollar store and get hand towels.
your best bet is a drainage system of some sort, it will be the most effective and easiest.
