    Wild Caught Chameleons

The Importer is just a guy who basically sells animals wholesale or can very well be a breeder or vendor himself. They really don't let the public in unless you spend a lot or use cash lol. They name the price and you buy them. WC panthers (and some other cites animals) are actually pretty...

There are importers and exporters all around the world for reptiles; many come from Africa and South America were reptiles and amphibians are abundant. Well Madagascar for instance has a quota on how many cites animals they can send out like panthers, those get distributed to various importers...

    Mucus in mouth...

If his breathing is labored, mucus in mouth (open his mouth if its like bubbly saliva), puffed up body, wheezing etc.. its probably URI (upper respiratory infection) My advice is to take him to a vet and he could properly diagnose it (no way i can tell unless i can see the cham in person) and he...

    is she gravid -melleri

I have seen gravid melleri and the colors do not change when they are gravid. The only way to tell if a mellers' is gravid is to palpate (feel) her stomach for eggs.

    Gravid (pregnant) cham.

What kind of chameleons? A lot of chameleons have a different color pattern when gravid. If the female is close to laying you can feel the eggs inside of her, just gently feel her stomach if you feel round objects then she has eggs.

All 40 Hatched! 100% hatch rate

Why even measure the weight? Is it for you own data? I think the best thing to do is pick a small sample size of like 5 chams and measure their weight if you have to, that way you don't have to mess with the other 35. They should all grow at a pretty even rate so they will all be around the...

    My Rudis had babies!!!

I would get a large rubbermaid tub, put paper towel on the bottom, with like 2 pair of fake plastic leaves (easy to clean) then spread bug stop (i use this http://www.proexotics.com/store/product.php?productid=16230&cat=257&page=1 ) around the inside rim of the tub and have a constant supply...

Strange poop, lazy grip and missing nails, help?

I think it was caused my the screen cage, I've seen inexperienced keepers roughly pull a chameleon from its cage (that was on the screen) and rip their nails off. If it gets infected (puffy and or start to bleed/puss) I would put some neosporin, teramicin or betadine solution on it. These are...

    Thick saliva!

The bubbles to me sounds like URI, it is very treatable with Baytrill or Amicasin (i dont know if i spelt that right). You treat them with 1 subcutaneous shot a day (depending on what your vet recommends) for a period of 2 weeks (again vet recommendation) and it usually knocks it right out...
