My Chameleon is sick i think. please help...

This is one of the reasons it is good to get information from multiple sources and ask if the person has ever successfully kept "______ " before.
However, some people do know a lot about things they have not kept, so don't use that as a rule of thumb...

I DID separate them.. i tell you i am SO pissed at everything petco and the other pet store told me... wtf man

:)
Wow Burrainiac, you are one quick study and have some thick skin too! Well, at least we know you are one of those good folks who will do what it takes to solve a problem for the sake of your animals. Sorry you and your poor chams had to go through this because of a clueless cr**py pet store.

Keep up the good work. I was lucky enough to save a cham that looked just about as bad as yours and without a competent vet too...they can surprise you. Good food, careful gutloading and hand feeding, lots of hydration, patience, proper lighting, love and luck all make a difference!

Hey Burraniac,

I am just here to say that you are doing a tremendous improvement , and awsome support of your chams, i know if you found this forum sooner, or had the correct knowledge , you would have two healthy chameleons right now:eek:...

keep it up, and never give up...

Awesome words Ace. I think a lot of people were a little frustrated with believed arrogance as this has kind of been the topic of the last 24 hours, but Burraniac's obvious care and strive to make things better as quickly as possible as his girl was in dyer need showed us a little something. Misinformation is a huge problem and if only pet stores could care as much as loving owners, problems like this wouldn't happen as often.

Ths AB EskimoC:)

but i think he said both were Males...there was never a female to begin with...if my memory of the recent posts are correct..

After reading all this, I want to say that I am sorry that I was hard on you yesterday but those pictures were very upsetting to me of your chams. I got to thinking and I figured you were given incorrect information on how to care for your chameleons so you really were just following what you were told to do. You assume you buy an animal from somewhere, that they know how to take care of them, but you and I both know that isn't the case. I am glad that you found the forum and hopefully if your chams don't make it or need to be put down as Julirs suggested, then you will be all the more knowledgeable on what to do in the future. It is ashame that the animals have to suffer for once again, the pet store's ignorance. I wish you well and no ill feelings. Good luck!

Good call! lol In the beginning there was an assumption that the very ill one was a female and I kind of took it and stuck with it and after reading so many posts, I kind of let a few facts breeze through my head. :D

Burraniac you have my utmost respect for doing everything soo fast! I really hope that both of your chams pull through this :D

with the help of this forum, your determination and his will to live. you have a start to recovery. wish you the best of luck rehabing.

Burraniac, could you please let us know an update on your sick chameleon. We are all hoping for the best!

No...

any word yet???

No, no word and I have to say I even sent him a PM... just incase he was worried about coming back to this post... but really I think everyone was pulling for him and commended him on his quick action as soon as he knew the Petstore gave him all the wrong info...

I hope things are ok, and even if not it would be nice to know in any event...
